Looks like there is no rest for our players just yet

Squad off to Bahamas this morning, flying shortly- back next Saturday.

Amazing season, all lads gutted to miss out. Incredible support from the fans as always.

Free holiday for the family (i'm guessing) and a bit of a kick around in the sun, I'd take that!

Meaningless freindly against Jamaica national side or similar - only worthwhile if AVB experiments a bit, mnaybe introducing some of the youth (but many of these will be playing tonight in the u21 finals).

But if they were not doing this, some would join up with England for even more meaningless freindlies.

So they might as well go on a jolly to the Bahamas

By taking him away from all distractions and creating the right environment............ this is going to be the 'big play to keep Bale' move.
I would suggest that if he isn't convinced to sign a new contract by the end of it then he will be going elsewhere.

Probably heard One Direction are out there... now the season is over they can go kick t' fuck out of them. (y)

In all seriousness though, nice little trip for them.

Probably going to meet Big Joe Lewis, Levy can tag along and ask for some more money for AVB!

Gives AVB a chance to have an audience with Joe Lewis though - that could have (positive) implications!

Do we reckon our returning loanees will be flying with them?

Gomes? Falqué? Rose? Bostock? Townsend? Khumalo?

And where in the name of shitting christ is David Bentley?

Anyone else think that this is a good idea? Rather than our players to all depart for the summer with failure ringing in their ears..

Im sort of glad Bale and co will stick it out for a week or so to clear their heads as a group whilst it all settles down and clear thinking returns. especially if we are pushing for a new contract to be signed.

Personally, I think AVB should have delayed his travel so that he could go and cheer on the U21s at OT. I bet Moyes and SAF are there tonight.

I'm sure many of our U21s would have extra motivation knowing that AVB was there to watch them.
