Its not to do with me rating him or not - I do rate him.

Just a typical reaction. For me id want someone who really brought something to the team in a special kinda way - im not saying he doesnt btw.

But id much rather prefer Modric, Lennon, JJ, Bent or Bentley - I think you understand what I mean. Someone with more attacking flair and who we generally expect to have a bigger say in the outcome of a match.

Its like preferring owen hargreaves over cristiano ronaldo.

Probably much like attacking players who influence the game win world player of the year 99% of the time. Cannavaro being the exception of recent years. Defenders never win it.
