i hear Torres is available ;-)

I think other than finally being in the CL, tonight assured us of keeping Lennon, Bale, Modric and Gomes. But I wouldn't say no to Torres, but I'd also titty fuck Scarlett Johanssen if she asked me to.

The cool thing is world cup madness will dictate transfers (Bale and Modders off the grid)

No way those two will be going anywhere this summer. To be honest i dont think either would have gone even if we hadnt qualified for the Champs League

Still reckon Ferguson will try to do his default act of each summer, ie order his chairman to "buy Tottenham's best player". Bid for Modric is inevitable. We should be able to resist it now...I hope.

Let's get on the front foot and make an offer for Rooney!

Torres would fit perfectly though. Is it worth breaking the bank? Probably.

There's no real reason for them to go, unless we were in the toilet financially, which, (regardless of the long-winded financial 'analysis' quoted in another thread) we are most certainly not.

They will have the chance to play CL football next season. That is the usual justification for defections and that is no longer availble to any of our players who may want to leave.

What I think is very important is any signings that we intend to make are made as early as possible in order to give them as much time as possibel to settle into the squad.
