Now a proven WC winner, with PROVEN track record is ‘agenda shit’. Because he played for two of our rivals. You may not like that fact, but he is not a bad player!
Be that as it may, buddy... but I still can't quite figure out why Chelsea would consider selling to us. Especially if it really could potentially strengthen us in Harry's absence. Either he has them at gunpoint, or they think he is so awful that they'd actually be weakening us. If the latter... then the joke's on them. We can't get any weaker with the finishing we've seen since Harry's absence!! So, they can stick that so-called Machiavellian strategy where the sun don't shine.

SSN reckon that Luka Jovic can indeed leave Madrid this window, even after a vote of confidence from Zidane.

I know Chelsea were interested, we were also it was alleged. Might see Chelsea make a move resulting in them softening their stance regarding Giroud coming to us.

Just a thought.

You got me really excited in the first sentence and then crushingly reminded me who I support in the third.

Genuine question, did you feel the same about Gallas?

I can’t remember to be honest but Gallas always felt more Chelsea than Arsenal to me.

I genuinely dislike Giroud though. I really don’t know why. To me everything about him embodies that club down the road. Sorry.

In addition, for all the magic of his goal off the shoulder against City, I absolutely loathed watching Llorente play in our team last season. Slow, cumbersome, no running or energy - just balls lumped long to him when we ran out of ideas.

If we get Giroud on loan we’re pretty much admitting that’s what we’re going to do for 6 months and it’s not something I want to see.

Sorry if that baffles a few people on here.

Giroud is past it sure but he still offers a lot more than Llorente does. Just better than him in every department really.

Wouldn't mind giroud to get us through to the summer, but just can't see Chelsea wanting to solve our striker crisis, just doesn't make any sense.

Guessing game: What time tomorrow does 'Giroud will not be signing for Tottenham, as Chelsea don't want to sell to a rival' hit the yellow bar on sky sports?

I just cannot see Chelsea letting Giroud come to us. They’re looking to add a forward before they let him move on, but I’d expect they want to sell, not loan, and I don’t think suit us.
Plus, as others have said, do they want to help us close the gap on them?
Hope we’re looking elsewhere.

Fuck it lets get Bakambu instead, loan with option already sorted by Barca, they even sorted his flights to Europe. He even confirmed the deal on his twitter.

Beijing Guoan paid the equivalent of around £70m for him, so dread how much the option would be!
