It's behind The Times paywall, but the essence is that Spurs have been looking at Oscar of Internacional and are in talks with him. He is an attacking mid, 20, Brazil international. Scored a hat trick in the U20 world cup final.

I'm sure someone else can post the full article.

The picture is of Gylfi, btw. Doh.

Inter probably rate him at about £15m. We'll offer £10m. They'll turn it down. We'll offer £11m. They'll turn it down. £12m.... and then they'll get fucked off with us. Just like Leandro D.

I think a while back that someone mentioned that we should go for Oscar and JJ liked the post.

Hmm, must have missed that. Interesting. I have a friend who is a Gremio fan, rivals to Internacional.. looking forward to his reply about the Oscar link. I'll post it when he does.

Seems like Levy is going back to spending on talent. Was clearly willing to spend it on Hazard so maybe Oscar is the alternative

Oscar reminds me of Luka with more of a goal threat. Real potential, could be our Juninho IMO.

I remember talk of Oscar last year during our hunt for Damiao. Problem is back then people mentioned he was being courted by Barca and I doubt that would have changed given on how the pundits are Rabin about him ( albeit Tim vickery)

Even then, negotiating with Inter has proven to be as successful as getting Bentley to play well. As JJ said they feel they let Sandro go for a song and do not wanna get caught out like that again. They'll be asking for a price similar to LD and its shown that we're not willing to meet that.

People might just be getting a bu carried away with the new ITK! But don't get me wrong, I hope we can get Oscar, I just see it as unlikely.

Think you can add 10m to the fee they'd want for Leandro.
The brazilian olympic team is built around Oscar.

The boy looks a top, top prospect. If he keeps his feet on the graand he could go on to be a top, top, top player at this level. *get out of my head Redknapp you ffffffffffuuuuuu*

As if Redknapp would have heard of him, he probably think's we're trying to sign a furry green monster living in a bin in a back alley off Sesame Street.

I posted a good article about him last night, I think it was moved into the Leandro thread. Well worth going to the thread to read the article.......he sounds like a bloody good player/prospect and well suited to the PL, although I'll admit to not having seen him at all.
