Like it says really, other EPL players that caught your eye this season, excluding the obvious talents from Chelsea, ManU & Arse

For me the following are examples of players that played most of the season and acquitted themselves pretty well:

De Jong - Really got to grips with the EPL this years and did the same job for MnC that Palacios does for us. Top quality busy ****.

Kompany - Played in his better position of CB he settled down and put in some composed performances

Bilyaletdinov - Quality left peg and good work ethic

Benayoun - I like this fella, always have. Intelligent.

Hangaland-Rock solid colossus who's quite quick for a big guy

Etuhu- the unsung hero of the fulham team for me. Grafts all day.

Zamora - I've always like Zamora. Good feet and brain. Excellent foil for a small fox.

Parker - In an otherwise under performing team he always seemed to stand out. Gives 100% every game, busy **** who tackles, goes box to box and has an eye for a goal.

Lee Chung Yong - Talented footballer who is technically good and intelligently uses positions and the ball. Pace as well.

Figaroa - Could be wrong, but I think in a better side he'd shine.

Nzogbia - Again, always like him. Great feet and dribbles as well as any in the EPL. Versatile too. In a good side I think he'd be mustard.

Milner - Impresses me every season. Work rate, two footed, versatile, creative and scores.

I'm sure I've missed some but that should get us started.

Milner and De Jong definitely for me. Darren Fletcher aswell for me. He is, arguably, the lynchpin of the United midfield.

Johnson and Dann for Birmingham aswell, and the other Fletcher from Burnley. Given better supply and he could be very handy. Fulham or Everton should take a look.

I don't know if this counts as an "obvious talent for the Arse" but Vermaelan for me. What a buy for them.

Also Rolledega.

I nearly put in Johnson of Birmingham as well. Good call.

Fletcher and Vermalen are good calls but disqualified on the grounds that they play for Arse, Chels, ManU.

Milner is an obvious choice, very impressed with him, seems like he's got that little bit extra to set himself apart from your bog standard English player like his teammate Young.

Since he came back from injury, Arteta has looked real quality for Everton as usual. Shame for him his country is so well stocked in his department because he really is a top notch player.

I've only seen the guy a few times, but Kevin Doyle always impresses me. Similar to Crouchy in that he's an absolute warrior, and he holds the ball up well and brings others into play for Wolves - I think they have a lot to thank him for staying up.

Interestingly, the player in the Prem who made the most passes, and completed the 2nd highest amount of passes was Birmingham's Barry Ferguson.

I always find this type of thing difficult as I'm so one eyed when I watch Spurs, and actually don't watch much other football on telly other than MOTD so I don't have a definite opinion on many players, only the odd one that really catches my eye - someone like De Jong (who I thought was City's best player against us) I can't really form a definite opinion of. Similarly If Palacios didn't play for us, I'd not have an opinion on the guy, and he's my favourite current Spurs player.

In that case... that Torres looks quite handy.

He really should be playing Champions League at a big club next year

Re De Jong... I'm currently watching the Man City game, again, which is indelibly saved onto my Sky+ box and watching De Jong he really does look good, in the Palacios mould indeed.

Agree, Diame looks like he could develop into an excellent player.

Also been impressed by Adam Johnson, I didn't think he was particularly special at Boro, but he has been one of City's better players since he joined in January.

I've been impressed with Duff this season. He'll never be the player of old, but he has looked good for Fulham this season. As has Zamora up top.

I also like the look of Rodwell. He looks like a real prospect.

David Dunn had good games whenever I saw him play. Injury free, he is a quality player.

Roger Johnson, this guy came from the championship? Birmingham has had a crazy solid defence all season.

Darren Bent, 24 goals is very impressive. But as ever, the teams where he is first choice striker stay firm in the bottom half of the table. He has been good though, which suits us just fine because it means Sunderland will have to pay all the bonuses we agreed upon.

Frank Lampard, player of the season for me. 22 goals and 17 assists from midfield is nothing short of exceptional. Ok he takes penalties but having a player who never misses one can be hugely important (as we have well found out this eason). I can't believe Fletcher got in the team of the season over Lampard. (Chelsea have had alot of players really looking impressive this season. Drogba 29 goals 13 assists, Anelka 11 goals 10 assists, Malouda 12 goals 9 assists...)

Alex Song, one of the best (if not the best) holding midfield players in the league. Strong, calm in possesion and a decent enough passer. I would love it if Sandro is anywhere near this quality.

De Jongs better than Palacios in my opinion. He's always so busy, and he's really got football talent. It's insane that he went for 2 million. Gutted we didn't get him.

Didn't he go for 18mil, or something ridiculous, only for it to be known he could of gone for a nominal fee if city had waited a month, or something along those lines

BTW De Jong is not better than Palacios.

Joe Hart is a good shout.

Zamora has been very good, considering how average I thought he was.

The Bolton played Weiss or whatever he is called looks half decent

Everyone has gone mad for Zamora but he only scored eight league goals. Worth bearing in mind.

De Jong is a great destroyer, probably better than Palacios IMO. Not much to choose between them really.

Kevin Doyle is tits, does the work of two men up front for Wolves - it would be interesting to see him in a better side.

Excellent call re Barry Ferguson, another I gave some thought to. I really wanted us to sign him when he first came to England when Souness signed him from Rangers for Blackburn. Very much in theParker mould. Technically very good, great engine and a real competitor.

Arteta is a great player but I didn't include him or Jagielka as they only played a handful of games. But Everton's fortunes changed when these two came back.

Agree, Diame looks like he could develop into an excellent player.

Weren't spurs linked with Adam Johnson several times ?

Don't make the mistake of judging strikers solely by goals. Zamora does a vital job for Fulham. He allows them flexibility, and is a hub around which their game often flows.
