Whenever i see Citeh play I always think their height and physical strength gives them an edge before they even leave the tunnel. The new look Spurs XI has a bit of that now too.
Maybe Gylfi plays in the mid 3 just for his corner taking, maybe we'll finally start benefitting from the huge number of free kicks we earn by heading in some goals.
Yes we lost Modric, King, VDV but the younger replacements are more malleable which should help AVB and perhaps that's what's it really all about?

i'm not 100% convinced.

i really like dempsey and dembele BUT what side is stronger;

Ledley, Modric, VDV or Verts, Dembele, Dempsey

Ledley wouldn't be playing this season no matter what... So Verts is stronger.
Modric wouldn't play for us this season... So Dembele is stronger.
VdV over Dempsey but that's 1 of 3.

Agree, although VDV wanted to go. If not for the German league's 12pm deadline I reckon his deal would have faltered till Xmas. We only let him go because we were convinced we could get Mouts. Apparently it was all agreed even with shifting goalposts and last minute demands. If it was a contracts mistake then the lawyer involved needs a good talking to.

We have done as well as a non-CL team could have done. I only hope that it gels in time to keep us attractive to talent and get us success.

I said in the match thread yesterday that 4 months ago Norwich beat us 2:1 @whl with
King and modric playing plus vdV on as sub. 1:1 is an improvement !
King was great we all know that, both charismatic and also a talisman, time and injuries took their toll and he managed 22 games in the
PL. Sad but TRUE.
