Blimey - full house tonight.

IMO tonight is the strongest side we've put out in a good 15 years.

First time Lennon, Hudd, Modric, Bale and VDV have all been fit together and we've had our first choice back 5 (King and Woodgate aside) available.

Strongest lineup since Klinsmann played for us. Shame the rest of the team wasn't as good as him too!

This is, perhaps, the strongest since the 80's. Debate open...

I thought Harry would have tried to get Sandro in tonight, we do need to make sure they don't score. We will need to get the ball off them and Modric and Huddlestone aint those type of players.

I was thinking since 1987 actually. Can't believe that's 25 years ago (not 15!)

On paper and on form maybe. But it lacks what for the last 10 years we have had an abundance of - a quality striker.

He'll probably score 4 but what does VDV do lately?

He drops far too deep getting in Modric's way.

He's leave the strikers isolated.

He needs a slap and told he's a bloody striker...stay there!

Except he's not though.

Re VDV, I'm surprised that it hasn't clicked yet between him and Luka. Something to work on in pre season.

Can it click though when (lately) they both seem to want to do the same job with VDV dropping deep all the time?

That's where tactics/instructions come in.

Was Spurs' best player in the 2nd half according to the Spanish commentators me and my Real Madrid mates listened to.

He had an okay game. worked his socks off in the last 10mins. Luka was brilliant however, so was Bale and Lennon

Bale owned the 1st half as far as Spurs players goes, the Spanish thought both Lennon and Modric weren't that brilliant though.. VDV had a few shots, played that through ball to Lennon and almost assisted Pav and Defoe who both missed their headers from close range.

Modric and Huddlestone are perfectly capable of making the play in midfield.

He needs to rent a DVD of Gianfranco Zola and learn the art of the support striker.

I'm sorry but is he not your topscorer and nominated for the EPL player of the season by his peers?

I don't know of you're aware of this, but VDV was the Bundesliga's best player playing as a support striker for HSV. He was the reason why they even challenged for the title and exactly why Madrid bought him in the 1st place.

Who do you support? Out of interest.

I'm a big fan of VDV, and fully appreciate the contribution he has made to our season.

He's had a few average games recently, but talk of dropping him seems a bit ridiculous to me. The guy is class, and we have a better chance of winning with him in the team than we do without him.

I'm sure he'll put in some performances for us in the next few games that will make the doubters wonder why they ever questioned him.

That definitely wasn't the strongest line up we could have played and it showed. Madrid barely had to break a sweat to control that game. Huddlestone took about 40 minutes to realise which way he was kicking and by then he was out of puff.

VDV was excellent tonight, some people don't seem to appreciate his work rate and team ethic. The combination of intelligence, skill and WORK ETHIC, are what separates him from lesser players. He was good on saturday too.
