For me it's Jimmy Hill. Is he still with us?

I remember him running the line in the old first division. Either the Ref or Linesman got injured and he came out in a tracksuit as a sub linesman. I couldn't stand the bloke and he got worse as he got older. He was awful on the Sunday Supplement, kept going on about "In my day......blah blah blah". Crap manager and crap pundit.

All commentators on all channels are just noise. Turn the volume off and watch the game. It would be great if these stations offered real choice, like having the crowd sounds only

I dont have too many bad things to say about McManaman. He's not great, but he's better than some of the others i've heard on a stream. I love when he goes full on Inspector Gadget. I get a good chuckle out of that when ever im watching a stream. I think him and Darke are a pretty good duo in the booth

I love Ian Darke. Him and Jon Champion are probably my favorite commentators.

Most on BT are dire, like MOTD drag out the standard pundit lines. I quite like Scholes as he really doesn't try and tow the line like the rest. Danny Higginbotham has recently joined talksport and he is actually very knowledgeable and a good listen.

Higginbotham was recently co-comms on the international PL feed. He was working one of the games I watched on Star Sports the other week - maybe City vs Bournemouth. Not sure now. At least he's recently retired so still remembers what it's like to play in these sorts of games, not like, say, Andy Townsend, Ian Wright, Lee Dixon, Mark Lawrenson and probably others who have slipped into either being a bland analyst or an armchair fan with a microphone (that's you, Ian Wright). No bad thing when it's a mixed panel, but wow it's boring when they are all the same. It becomes a pub discussion.

Can't beat Martin Tyler and Andy Gray!!

apart from their commentators, I quite like the BT Sport Coverage, the App is fantastic on the ipad too.

Do really like Gary Lineker and Jake Humphries too

This may be me just putting two and two together and making five, but for me, it did seem highly coincidental that Gareth Bale was reportedly happy to give us one more season according to anyone that knew anything and then becomes the new face of BT Sport and then suddenly is pushing for a move to Real Madrid. I know Real Madrid is hard for anyone to turn down, but I've always had a sneaky feeling that BT wanted to engineer a move for Bale to a top CL club straight away and then use this as leverage/clout/advertisement to push for CL coverage package, which they eventually won.

You think?

I reckon he was kidnapped by monkey's who hailed him as their leader, took him to their home planet and brainwashed him into thinking that Real has a better chance of winning things than Spurs and pay him a shit load of money.

If only someone had got to him first.

Their website is one of the worst I have ever had the displeasure to use and their commentators are largely the same.

What's worse for me personally is that it doesn't increase competition for the end viewer, it just creates more cost. It's another package to buy and whilst that may well just be my view due to living abroad (and virgin might do deals) for me it's a case of any Spurs match on BT is now a game I can't watch and something that makes my sky subscription more expensive vs the "value" I was getting previously.

I caught a bit of one of then sky gold matches recently and Gray sounds like a dinosaur.

McManaman is probably the best of a poor bunch IMO.

The two Owen's are painful, really painful.

James, for supposedly being an intelligent guy, leaves you wondering what the fuck he's been watching.

They guys doing Serie A are much better IMO.

Awful pundit the depths of his blandness with co-conspirator Trevor Brooking was truly woeful. Made Alan Hansen look truly revolutionary.

Harsh to say he was a bad manager. Took Coventry into the top flight through 2 promotions.

Jenas is surprisingly a very good pundit. I think they should use him for more high profile matches, MOTD seem to be realising his worth now too.

He's incredibly biased though. He looks at everything from a players' perspective, which can be refreshing, but some of his articles are hard to take seriously. His recent ones saying how Lennon was horribly treated by us and that Sherwood wasn't at fault for Villa's demise made me lose a lot of respect for him, cause I too used to think he was a good pundit
