Let's remember that a) we know some of these players are crap, b) this isn't a dummy team - they finished 5th in their league, and c) Nuno is great at changing things at half time.

I was worried we'd gone too far by leaving so many senior players at home and it certainly looks that way now. No experience to turn to on the bench, though I'd still take Winks off at half-time because there's nothing more we need to see from him.

Sess is a concern, looking forward. I'm not writing him off by any means, but for me it's not just about fitness. He looks like he doesn't have any confidence. Where's the player that looked so threatening at Fulham? At the moment I struggle to see what he offers as a player.

Well. Gil and Winks are the only players playing alright. Our midfield is almost non-existent. Lo Celso has been dreadful - not helping to defence and no contribution to the attack. Nile John barely touched the ball.
Btw, the goal came because apparently CCV doesn't know what is an offside trap

Speechless.

A cliche it may be to say, but that was very much a performance of a team who haven’t played together before.

I missed the contentious offside call. Might actually give the 2nd half a miss and wait for highlights (if there are to be any!)

I still see nothing more than an athlete in Sessegnon. Not good enough with the ball.

Three at the back with bad wingbacks never work.

Romero

Dunno how many times I have said this now, but how much longer do we need to suffer having Harry fucking Winks in our squad?? He is a fucking awful footballer and is now getting games under another new manager. Fucking seriously!

And what the fuck is Paratici doing?? Winks, Aurier, Dier, Sanchez and Sissoko all still at the club. We need another CB, RB, play maker, and at least one, possibly 2 new strikers. Alll with less than 2 weeks of the transfer window to go and with an approximate net spend of 5m quid so far. Remember both Romero and Gollini have been brought in on tick ffs.

Looks like another window of smoke and mirrors from our illustrious owners!! Shocking.

What is Paratici supposed to do? Take over at other clubs and put bids in for our players and then force them to accept?

We look like a team that's never played together before, which is what we are. You can't just stick 11 individuals on a pitch and hope they gel it just doesn't work no matter how good some of those players are. Only positive from that half for me is Gil who had some nice moments. Lo Celso and Winks very disappointing, Doherty still incredibly poor.

We need to switch back to a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2.

Shame there is no-one on the bench who can come on and influence this.

Struggling to make anything more than a five yard pass. No point in playing with wing backs if no-one can make a diagonal pass.

Is that not taking a big risk? Who’s to say we’ll just be able to snap our fingers and turn the tie around.

It's a risk, yes. Wouldn't say it's a big one.

If we can't overturn a one or two goal deficit at home with a full squad to chose from then we might as well let Fulhum take our Prem spot and save them having to walk the Championship.

Romero is probably just in utter shock at how shite some of the players around him are. From CL and Copa America to CCV, Doherty, Davies and being shielded by Winks.

winks has been so poor, just going through the motions, thinks he’s better than the opposition when actually he’s being shown up by them
To be fair, the movement ahead of and alongside him really hasn’t been good.

Haven't read anything so don't know what the feeling is (apart from that being turd) but surely we don't need this tournament whatsoever?!

Surely the potential damage and ball ache it could cause trumps the potential upside of winning it which would be no more than quite cool.

I know we're the last ones that can turn our nose up at silverware or potential silverware at least but... Let's just say if we're trailing going into next week, I wouldn't be bringing out the big guns

What are Sessegnon's strengths? Genuine question. We tracked him for 3 years. What is he supposed to be good at?

He was good at playing high up the pitch at RW and running behind the striker and scoring goals and has never really being giving the opportunity to do that with us
