I used to sit next to Patrick Roberts at school. Jeez, he must be 54 by now. Might be a different Patrick Roberts.

From the glimpses I've seen of him he looks a very good player, seems similar to Pritchard too but on the other flank. Hope we do go for him

As a 16 year old he was the best by miles in his age group according to some, haven't heard how he been doing lately. Chelsea would be an awful move for him IMO. Having seen what we've been doing with our young players will be a big pull for younger players.

Best place for him to go is either Liverpool or us. Hopefully he makes the right choice.

£15m and he cant get in a shite Fulham side, this one really has got Bostock written all over it. Would rather we went for the lad at Ipswich, Teddy Bishop.

Would prefer Will Hughes myself. Roberts has struggled in the first team. It's the express so is bollocks. Think he will go to Liverpool if he gets some form together.

Fantastic in the youth leagues. Brilliant skills. Has not been able to convert that to the seniors. But is still very young.

I remember seeing his name mentioned in the pundits predicted squads for 2020 WC. sounds a bit rich for us though.

Hughes looks extremely similar player to Carroll.

Looking very Bostock like ATM.

He needs to move for the sake of his career. Massive talent a few years ago but he's not kicked on, change of scenery might help.... providing he chooses the right club.

He's only 18. Will give him a couple more seasons to see if he'll be any good.

Well, they play in different positions so it's not really one or the other.
A year ago, according to ITK, Spurs were after Hughes but Derby wanted a "ransom" for him - and, as we all know, it's hard to hold Levy to a ransom (though Valencia did just that in the Soldado deal)..

Bollocks. Soldado was at the time one of the highest scorers in Europe, and the only one likely to be willing to join us. 26m was a fair price and rumors have said there are a healthy amount of performance bonuses etc in there that look like they won't be met.

It was only a year ago that he was making waves. The problem is the style of play of Fulham's 1st team doesn't suit him (neither do their U21s to an extent). He definitely needs to leave Fulham as he is hardly even playing in there U21s.

He would be some way off our 1st team, but our U21s would be a good platform for him. That being said the prices being quoted are ridiculous, even with the amount of potential he has.

It had part pun-intended element but nevertheless....
Well, Spurs were desperate to get a quality CF and even though Soldado was top quality striker (and I am sure he still will start scoring lots if/once he return to La Liga again) there were many on here - me included - who were not at all keen on him joining Spurs. For a starter, he was 28 when Spurs bought him and he was not a lone striker type.
Yes, I know part of that £26M included add-ons but still Spurs paid over the odds.
