The Tottenham star may have lost his Brazil place, but he has shown that he is a player and individual of tremendous character.

Just what we need in our team right now IMO. If he can get to his best, playing wise, he could be a crucial member of the team / squad.

Funny how from the commentators nothing was mentioned during this happening...
The only praise I heard trying to rally them was neymar in a earlier huddle....
Unless it's just me can someone confirm or deny what I said ?

Does anyone who actually listened to the commentators expect them to say what is actually happening? Quality of commentary has been awful

I'm thinking likely the team was just thinking "Okay, let Paulie blow off some steam. Jesus... he's not in the lineup so he's poured psilocybin flakes all over his breakfast again. Yes, let's just let him rant on and nod as if it's okay... we don't want an incident."

Yes, I can see Paulinho in his hotel room over room service cackling away, dosing himself: "Who wants to watch some football? This match is going to be trippy as a nun's yums!"

I was really surprised when I saw Paulinho all fired up and rally around the troops. Hopefully as his English improves he'll start to show more of this for us. I have high hopes for Paulinho under Poch.

The question is; Can he be a leader of men on the pitch? I guess we'll find out if he gets the nod in the next game.

Maybe we should get him a short skirt and a set of Pom Poms.......he is a far better cheerleader than he is a player.
I think him and Steffen Freund would make a great team on the sidelines.Really liven up the game for the fans.:)

Think Pauli adds something to the Brazil team, he may not have the flash of Oscar and Neymar, but he is a hard worker and sometimes his hard work goes unnoticed admits the gilts and glam of the Brazilian game. A bit like Fred, sometimes what they do doesn't get notice.

He is one of those that helps all around the pitch, helping track players and always being an option in the box. Personally, Willian look lost out there, glad he miss the penalty. (Ok maybe i am still pissed at him)

I'd expect him to be back in the first 11 against Columbia as Luis Gustavo picked up a one match ban. Good luck to him, I was thinking they could have used Sandro last night but that's their loss and hopefully our gain if he's in good shape for pre season.

Can't say Brazil became a better team without Paulinho. Few Brazilian players have impressed this WC.

For sure he has not been at his best towards the end of last season and this WC. There is a thought though that the Brazilian team members play pretty much 12 months of the year and far more games than anyone else does. Maybe after the Confed Cup and a long season most of them are suffering. For example Oscar certainly tailed off during the season from the impact he had in the first half...Paulinho too started well but did tail off.

Just a thought

Yes , it was impressive seeing him rallying the Brazilian troops .

But how could there be a greater contrast with his passionless Spurs character where he squirms out of the way of a free kick and we concede a goal .

A leader of men because he gave a team talk? Bitch please!
It is a lot easier to give that kind of team talk, when you're not playing and you're not a penalty taker.

Don't forget this is a grown ass man, who ran away from the ball when it was kicked at him last season. As far as I am concerned he has a lot to prove.
