No takers at the time for these gentlemen and I think you'll find, they were then both given £200000+ per week to stay. Rooney was nearer £300k.

Real are looking a our friend Louis as we speak according to 'Marca' ( it means pinch of salt)
Marca means from gods mouth to your ears when it comes to Real but there is nothing on Marca that I've seen about Real actively targeting him yet.

However, there is a nice story about Suarez and Cavani being declared distinguished citizens of their home town

1. I would cook my own meals for the team before they played West Ham in 05-06

2. I would not sell Van der Vaart...

Time machine... Hmm.

It's the future for me, where i'd pick up the best cloaking technology, go back to about 1992 and just spend match days stood in front of the goal keeper deflecting balls or tripping defenders.

And you might find the odd strange liquid appearing on people we have a mutual dislike for's faces during TV interviews... (better hope the suit doesn't fail at that point...)

I would have substituted Kyle walker in the 60th minute at anfield last season, then he wouldn't have laid on Liverpool's equaliser when we were hammering them, then we would have gone on to win. we wouldn't then have not gone on to have a monumental collapse and would have qualified for the champions league and then bale would have stayed and we would be right up there challenging for the title.

Totally agree. Investing in a top class striker would have ensured that we qualified for the champions league again. On top of that we should never have sacked Harry or sold Bale or Modric.

Look at Liverpool this season. Suarez wanted to go. Liverpool said no. Same with Rooney.

This shit again?

Really?

We should have invested properly in the squad when we got to the CL.

The trouble was we'd shelled out 58m on Defoe, Pav, Keane and Crouch.

How much did Defoe and Keane actually cost us though? Didn't both Portsmouth and Liverpool still owe us money? If so, that debt would have been taken off whatever we paid.

21st January 2012, 91st minute. Bale plays Defoe in early rather than taking on Lescott and leaves Defoe with a one on one. Spurs beat Man City 3-2 and go within two points of the top, 13 ahead of Arsenal.

25th February 2012, 37th minute. Bale plays in Saha for a one on one to make it 0-3. Harry brings on Sandro at half time and kills the game off. We're third, one point behind City, two behind United. 16 ahead of Arsenal. We'd definitely have made the CL that season, at least.

Wish Crouch had been able to stay on the field longer than 14 flippin' minutes in the Champions League quarter final against Real Madrid. What an idiot. 75 minutes with 10 men in the Bernabeu - great. If only we could have brought them back to the Lane for the second leg with the scores tied or maybe even just one goal behind. We could have really gone for it. Thanks Crouchy.
Hahaha. Selective history. He fucked up, everyone does.

May I remind you:

Scored a hat trick to get us through vs Young Boys
Scored our first ever Champions League goal vs Bremen
Scored at home vs Inter
Scored at home vs Bremen
Scored to put us through against AC

So many to choose from. I'd have done one of the following

Taken lasagne off the menu before the West Ham game....
Not sacked Martin Jol....
Never hired Ramos or Comolli
Told Chelsea to 'fu~k off' when they tapped up Arnesen and then reported them.
I loved the guy but I'd never have brought Robbie Keane back.
Not allowed fans to chant 'mind the gap'
Sacked Redknapp earlier, as soon as he flirted with the England role.
Appointed Freund instead of Sherwood
Never sold VDV

I could go on... but it's depressing to do so...

I think sacking Martin Jol or allowing Arnesen to leave were the truly pivotal ones though. I miss the excitement around the club when Arnesen was pulling the strings.

I would have substituted Anton Ferdinand before John Terry had a chance to racially abuse him.

Without that incident there wouldn't have been calls for Terry to be dropped from the England team.

Without those calls, Capello wouldn't have felt compelled to resign.

Without his resignation, there wouldn't have been any of the speculation about Harry.

Without the speculation, Harry would have been able to concentrate on getting us third.

He wouldn't have been sacked, we wouldn't have got AVB, and we wouldn't have seen the one decent team we've had in years ripped apart and replaced by a series of downgrades.

You could have just wrote John Terry's Dad should have worn a condom :D World would have been a better place

If we had played Fulop more in some random league cup games he might have not been so bitter trying to stop us winning against Man City (almost succeeded) and throwing the game with WBA v Arsenal.

Selling our best players when we're in reach of the top 4. Berbs, Modric, Bale, VDV.

Missing out on Hazard due to Chelsea winning the champions league, think we could have had a chance. If only Messi had converted that penalty

It's always margins with Spurs and quite often we balls it up :D
