Alasdair Gold has told his YouTube channel that Tottenham star Pedro Porro is working very hard “behind the scenes” to adapt – and the Spanish ace is already well-liked among the Spurs squad, after his best outing yet on Saturday.

Like him a lot and he's not let a shaky start get to him at all. Gives us a dangerous offensive option on the right that we've needed for ages.

He looked good again on Saturday. Obviously he'll come under more pressure defensively in other games, but I always felt more nervous watching Reguilon / Sessegnon defend and he also offers more in possession.

I know it sounds good but adapting to our standards may be detrimental  I think the club should adapt to his standard at sporting.

Since the shocking Leicester performance I'd say he's looked better defensively than Perisic has this season.

High praise indeed.
Haha yeah, very much faint praise.

More making the point that most people on here didn't consider Perisic to be a big concern defensively - especially in his first 6 months - whereas Porro was damned as a liability after 1 (very poor) game and has since looked better than him.

That's always good to hear. From what I've seen of Mr. Porro so far, he seems like a good egg with no small amount of technical skill and desire. Whoever takes over next summer will have a nicely stocked set of RWBs in Emerson, Porro, and Spence.

I agree, but Perisic is less of a liability than Reguilon / Sessegnon imo, plus he has contributed 9(?) assists.

I think Harry Kane will become a big fan
