The same team that finished third last year. I think a stronger bench also. Didn't hear many complaint about the quality of our team last year. What has changed?

Is this team really that bad? If we get a few injuries then we can always bolster the squad in 4 months time and we have the money to do so. We have a settled squad and a don't see any players that could have vastly improved the team without spending a huge amount of money.

If I was being picky I would have kept mason and chadi as cover

Everyone talks about injuries like other teams are immune. If any team in the epl loses a vital player they'll struggle.

I think our squad is lean and mean.

I'm sorry but when I see the prices being banded about I'm glad we are not getting involved. Actually shows what good business we did with Wanyama 12m!!! And Jannsen £17m!!! Steals in this market! When you think Everton are spending £60m on Bolasie and Sissoko

If we lose ALL of the first team necessitating team B here, then yes they will need to step up.

I can't remember us ever having a squad so small. We will only be registering a squad of 18 players this season and even when you include U21's who are likely to feature regularly like Dele and GKN it's still a very small squad for a team competing in 4 competitions. It's going to be a very big season for Onouma, Winks and Carter-Vickers and we need them to hit the ground running.

My biggest worry for the season is not having any competition for Dembele. He is so vital to our team and we look pretty uninspiring without him.

I'm not disappointed we didn't get a superstar like Isco or splash massive amounts of cash, not that many players come cheap now mind but I think it's a bit of a shame we didn't get players with particular traits. To be honest the most disappointed thing is the way we go about our business in a sense. Like someone else said, yes it's good to not get caught up in the stupid spending of certain players but Poch has obviously wanted another wide man, probably one who could hit the ground running (going on our Zaha bid) and a centre mid (going on the Sissoko bid) and we've gone about it by lowballing in the last few days of the window. So despite whether some are completely happy or satisfied about the window or not Poch seemingly wanted more.

I agree with what someone else said about no cover for Dembele, but I really hope we've just started slow and our flow of play isn't completely dependant on one player. We were one injury away from our season being derailed (or at least our title challenge) last season if Kane were to get injured IMO, we don't want the same scenario with Dembele.

Well I assume those 3 will start in some cup games / ready to come off bench depending on injury situation

Aside from the Isco rumors - of which I should know better by now - today went exactly as predicted with GKN and Lopez (we got Lopez, right - been at work all day).

I agree it is a small squad but it is young and fit and we shouldn't get too many injuries. The question is who we would get as cover that wouldn't have cost us a huge amount of money today. Who would have thought a few years ago that mason and bentaleb could come in and provide decent cover and that Kane would be our main talisman. Maybe we can do the same with winks' Edward, Carter Vickers. We have the right manager in to be able to do that
