Here is a thread with an ambition to win money together from betting.

If you have a bet of the day or lay of the day at Betfair, you can post it here, and we can discuss it, and find one pick.

This should be the one pick that is the winning bet. Can we find a winning bet every day, every week, every month, every year?

Nothing is better than making money together. Everyone here want a fellow Spurs fan to win money. Let's do the business together!

Croatia Evs
Wales 8/13
Germany 5/6
Italy 8/15

5 on that returns 45 quid with Paddy Power

I will go for a Valencia win today. 2.10 is good odds against Granada away, I think.

If they go 0-1 up - green out on Betfair.

Treble on the two Manchester clubs today and Arsenal tomorrow pays over 3/1 on Paddy Power. If they're going to win we might as well try to win some money on them.

Over 3.5 goals in Barca and Madrid is pretty much like printing money every week, usually about 6/4 for each of them on their own, Ive won the last few weeks on both teams

I will try out a strategy today:

I will try X 2 in the Sporting Gijon v Levante match.

The strategy is as follows with a £100 stake.
Levante to win: £65
The Draw: £25
Security bet: £10 2-1 correct score result

*The goal is to trade it, not bet it. If Levante take the lead, you hedge it for profit.
*If Gijon take the lead, you can decide if you want to get out of everything or take a loss. if it ends in a draw in the end, you will also have a profit.

A nice hedge profit on that one, even though Sporting Gijon won the match in the end.

Lay of the day: Lay Liverpool @ 2.04 vs Arsenal. Time for some dirty Arsenal money.

When betting, I would encourage everyone to shop around on-line for the best prices (if you don't do so already). Betfair claim to have the best odds, but when their 5% commission is factored in, quite often better prices can be found elsewhere.

For example, Chelsea vs Liverpool this weekend, Ladbrokes' odds are:
Chelsea 1.90 (52.63% chance)
Draw 3.40 (29.41%)
Liverpool 4.00 (25.00%)
So 107.04% overall - the 7.04% (their overround margin) is the bookmaker's margin ie. the % they expect to make on turnover longterm.

However, Asian bookmakers (such as SBObet, 188bet, IBCbet...) offer a market called Asian Handicaps, which bet to much smaller margins, and therefore make it easier to win (...or lose less!) money.

SBObet's odds:
Chelsea -0.5 (this is the handicap. So here, they are giving away half a goal ie. in this case, to win the match) 2.02 (49.50%)
Liverpool +0.5 (essentially Liverpool to draw or win) 1.91 (52.36%)
So overall, they are betting to 101.86% - SBObet's edge is only 1.86%.

Anyway, my bet of the weekend is Chelsea -0.5 @ 2.02!

I'm possibly the most pessimistic Spurs fan here, but I genuinely believe we're a big price to beat Newcastle tomorrow @ 1.70.

Newcastle, despite beating Chelsea last time out, have failed to impress all season. Even last year in finishing 5th, they severely overachieved when considering their performances. Granted, we are without Defoe but, in truth, he has produced nothing of note for quite a while now. Hopefully, Dempsey will start up top (his movement is actually really impressive, albeit his shooting technique is questionable), with Holtby the chief midfield schemer.

On a side note, I also really like us to qualify vs Lyon @ 1.80!

Anyone tried the new Betfred coupon. Over 2.5/under 2.5 goals, set odds from a long list of games. 4 games 9/1, 5 games 16/1, 6 games 33/1, 7 games 55/1. Obviously the odds keep getting much larger.

They introduced it last week and I won a 5 fold so going for another one, seems a good coupon. Tbh I've given up with accumulators now and just using Betfred as some of their specials offer really good odds such as goals galore and double delight, hatrick heaven is great too.
