Very disappointed with this from Pienaar. I'm a fan of his and think he could have been a very useful squad player for us in the second half of the season, but this interview smacks of him stirring shit simply because he's not in N17 for the time being and wouldn't have to face any Tottenham fans in the near future. Not good, and to be honest after it seems that it was him who forced through a loan move away from the Lane rather than the club pushing him out, he's burnt his bridges a bit with me after this: hope we win something without him to show him what he's missing and what Modric is enjoying.
EXCLUSIVE: Pienaar warns top clubs will be back in for Modric

Steven Pinenaar has warned Tottenham that Luka Modric will be targeted again by top clubs this summer.
Modric has been key to Spurs’ success after they *resisted moves from Chelsea to take the Croatian across London.
But with Manchester United ready to make the 26-year-old a target in the summer, Pienaar fears Modric will once again be tempted.
“Luka is a top player for Spurs and if he leaves it is hard to say what will *happen there,” said Pienaar.
“He is such an important member of the team. Tottenham will want to keep him at the club, but it is difficult when a player like him wants to move on.
“As a player only a few *opportunities to move on come up in your life, so I can see it from both sides.
“It was hard for Luka at the start of the season because he was thinking about his *future. But he is a good *professional and after the chance to leave Spurs passed he did everything he could for the team. He is that kind of guy.
“That’s why the other players like him so much. But I understand from my own experience that if a good *opportunity is blocked by your club, it can be hard to concentrate.”
Pienaar has returned to Everton* after limited playing time at Spurs under Harry Redknapp. But he’ll be cheering on his former team-mates when they *attempt to haul in the two Manchester clubs at the top of the table when they face Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow.
Pienaar added: “It was hard for me at Spurs. I got injured and I never really got a chance because they were playing so well. But I have asked for tickets off some of the guys so that I can support Tottenham at *Liverpool!”
