Tottenham are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Piero Hincapie as Antonio Conte’s summer revamp continues. The Italian has already snapped up Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.
But acquiring a central defender remains his No.1 priority and, having seen a move for Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni fall through, Conte is now looking at other options.
Hincapie has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time and is seen by the club as a player with huge potential.
The 20-year-old, who plays on the left side of a central two, has impressed with Leverkusen, who he joined a year ago from Argentinian side Talleres.
He has also impressed on the international stage with Ecuador, helping them to qualify for the World Cup finals in Qatar in November, and Leverkusen are bracing themselves for offers this summer.
