I hate the way every decision against Chelsea must be over analysed, it's always claimed to be 'controversial'.

It isn't, he was onside, it was in the box, penalty, crack on.

Must say, Shelvey has played well. Montero looks top as well, and ayew. Gomis looks an utter donkey still.

Swansea has outplayed Chelsea and they are battering them now. Fantastic to watch and should be worrisome to us, as they don't have Europa to contend with. There's more talent than ever in this league, which makes it great to follow on one hand, and very concerning on the other, as we haven't acted to improve our entire squad yet.

I've heard "Everywhere we go" at 3 grounds today

EDIT: I've only watched three games so probably been at more

Yep. It's an easy decision for the ref but you could see on the guy's face he's like, oh god I've got to send him off but I'm just going to get moaned at for doing it. It's so frustrating Chelsea and that twat moutinho are allowed to get away with their rubbish.

Pace matters, but pace coupled with technical ability and end product is what they have in Montero and Ayew. We have some pace with the likes of Lennon and Townsend, but they have no end product and aren't great technically, so it goes to waste.

Does anyone know why Montero went off?

Looked like cramp.

good result for swans. looks like they finally grew a pair under monk. just a shame they had to sub montero as he was giving ivanovic quite a headache.

Do we all have to play with that red and white arsenal theme ball all season?

The pace Swansea play at as a unit is very impressive. I wish we'd move the ball faster like that but to be fair we need to add some much needed pace into the team.

We did reasonably well today but didn't half feel ponderous.

I know it's just the first game of the season, but I really have been impressed with the way Gary Monk has handled Swansea since taking over. It really helps that he's at home with the club and is used to the good brand of football they play.

The one player we've got that acts as a dynamo (and a metronome) to increase our passing rate is Carroll. Pritch would add to that as well imo.

Carroll's got to get a bit of nasty in him though, that's his next step.
