Čech could never deal with crosses, at Chelsea Terry was saving his ass by dealing with everything, but for national team he has always made these mistakes.

Without Europa League to contend with, West Ham are going to be a very solid team once they get Valencia and Obiang back fit. I don't know why anyone would think they'd be relegation candidates, as they already had some very competent players like Reid, Cresswell, Adrian, Kouyate, and Sakho in their first XI, and they've added 2-3 first choice singings on top of that, and apparently want to add more. With Europa, their squad would've struggled to cope with the long season, but without it, they'll finish top 9, I think.

I've said all summer that my biggest issue with our transfer activity has been us passing on players that perfectly fit the mold of players that have in the past helped us strengthen and who we could've afforded. Namely Cabaye, Ayew, Clasie, Wijnaldum, and Payet. We saw strong performances from Ayew and Cabaye yesterday, so let's see how WIjnaldum and Payet get on today against tough opposition (Clasie is hurt today).

I am very interested to see Liverpool play Stoke today at Brittania. I think Liverpool's summer has been outstanding, and all the talk of their key signings flopping is partially wishful thinking on many people's parts, but today is a good barometer for them, given that they got smashed at Stoke in May.

So Payet has been West Ham's best player, got an assist from a great dead ball put into the box, and now Wijnaldum scores to give Newcastle the lead. Infuriating. It really is. These guys were all highly proven and could've helped us immensely.
