Outside of the music, it would have been the same video he would've received from the team analysts of his performance. After every game, players get those individual compilations to show their touches, passes and significant events. If he's watching a clip of himself playing poorly and he's not driven to want to do better, than we already know what kind of player he is.

@olliec I see you quoted my post but didn't you write this after the Everton game?

When winks came on the game was done. Absolutely god awful! Needs to go in the summer.

So you're okay criticizing players performances but you're not okay with people making compilation of said performances?

In the heat of the moment it’s ok and normal for fans to react, but to do a video I don’t agree with.

Nice to see us plan a young players development properly. The way we've handled some of our young players recently has been dreadful. KWP should have been given a proper loan rather than sitting around not playing for years.

No. You're the one who got on your high horse to claim that you always supports the players, when it's clear that you don't. You then call out a video of a performance that we all watched as harmful when you yourself have criticized the player labelling him as " god awful". You think if he read that comment he would feel supported? Stop being hypocritical and move on.

At least I don’t sit down for an hour or two making a video about how bad his game was. I just said what I said in the heat of the moment and moved on. I think videos are going to have much more long lasting effects on players that watch than words. Anyway let’s agree to disagree and move on.

How is he phenomenal? We have played several Championship side recently and they were awful so he is not up against much. In the same period we have lost to almost all the Premier League sides we have played against. You can’t compare the leagues.
I hope he will turn out to be a good player for us but he has a long way to go

I didn't make the video :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: and again you're wrong. You're trying to justify calling him "god awful" while criticizing a video of the performance where you called him "god awful". What do you think the players watch after the game is done? What do coaches analyze after each game to see where improvement is needed?
That's right, the game highlights and specifically individual highlights to see each player did right or wrong. I'm happy to move on, just avoid quoting any of my posts with your fake righteousness.

Well, yes, that's as it should be. You need to dig into the motivation. Criticising a player's performance in a specific game, either in real time or with analysis afterwards, is responding to observation and evidence.

There's no plausible motivation for spending hours on a compilation of gaffes and fuck-ups, other than that the person behind it has a malevolent hate for one of his club's own players - and we've never seen that here, oh no!

It's commonplace for me to take a shot at some SC member or other for yet another content-free rage-post about one of our players and then get the retort "oh, so it's not permissible to criticise our players?" It misses the point. It isn't criticism. It's anger. It's an attack. There's no content. No point. Just rage.

I criticise our players during and after every match, but because I never write "XXX is shit" or "move him on!" or "get rid", instead concentrating on what the player did instead of what he is, there's a notion that I won't criticise at all. I can be absolutely scathing. But I don't use insults or mount personal attacks. And if I can't accompany my criticism with an argument, I dont write it.

I won't attack our players. I don't do it with other teams' players either, nor their managers, nor their fans collectively. I don't like people who do. It's not fact-based and it's malevolent.

Except Robbie Savage.

But don't you see the hypocrisy? What if a person needed a further extensive look at the performance to draw a concrete conclusion from said performance? Sometimes my memory fails me and you can miss things in real time and looking over the evidence after taking a breath is a more measured of way of establishing if your initial response was knee-jerk or leveled. I didn't make the compilation and I certainly haven't called Winks " god awful" and that was my issue with the poster who quoted me. He/she went out of their way to say

When winks came on the game was done. Absolutely god awful! Needs to go in the summer.

and then claim that the video was harmful and detrimental to Winks. I then asked, what do players, who have an interest in improving, watch after each game is finished? What do coaches, who also have an interest in improving, watch to analyze after each game is done? Funnily enough, the answer is footage of the game they just completed. I have no problem with people making in-game, heat of moment posts about player ABC being XYZ, where I do take umbrage is posters then riding in on their high horses and trying to advocate that their way of criticizing a player is somewhat better or holds less impact since it was done in the moment. That fake righteousness is what I was addressing.

With respect, if you criticise a player before or after its the same. By words or video compilation, again it's the same.

Just don't make it personal and keep it in perspective of how good a player he is compared to his performance. (ie "he is shit" is not the same as "his performance was shit").

Anyway the article is about Skipp and his fantastic progression

Well, here's hoping that Skipp never has to deal with seeing a mistake he made or poor performance highlighted on MOTD or having to deal with those pesky performance analysts that Spurs pay to compile game footage of each player in order to give them rundown on their personal tablet device of each individual action they performed in a match, good or bad. That would absolutely destroy him. Instead, let's hope he reads a quick twitter mention or a random post on some forum claiming he's "god awful" to keep him motivated. I'm sure he'll understand that the comment was made in the heat of the moment and shouldn't register on a personal level. Yeah, that makes more sense.

Look mate I said what I needed to. Again it’s normal to criticise players after a game even if they are god awful which I said, but to spend hours making a video of how bad the performance is and then posting it is taking it to another level. You sharing it is just as bad, so let it go and already!

Haha your memory fails you. Good one! You done it out of spite. Just move on and admit you’re in the wrong on this.
