Some of you guys must leave your brains at home when you go and watch spurs.

Lennon, Lennon ?? Keane ?

Lennon has been even less influencial than last month when the ludicrous lemmings voted him player of the month.

whoa whoa whoa, Aaron Lennon won us 2 games last month and had some great performances. I reckon the end ball is still not 100% but his finishing is better and adding that abilty to come inside and shoot means defenders now struggle. Admittedly this month he has 2 stinkers against Chelski and Man U but your being very very very harsh on the guy

I agree about Bassong, he has been a revelation what a player and he enjoys his football too.

Keane has been better than Defoe and Lennon but it seems most of you are incapable of seeing past fleeting moments of spasmodic premature ooohgasm.

Bassong has been our most consistant performer so far this season and our best defender. He's come into a a new side and yet looks like he's been playing there for much longer. We've stopped noticing King quite as much as usual haven't we ? Coincidence.

Against ManU at one point in the first half I saw him ordering the defensive line out, including King. He also blocked a sure goal of the line with quick thinking positioning.

The kid has impressed me no end.

Agree with you about Lennon this month (you still underrate him though!). Bassong in with a shout just because he's the one we'd have missed most of all. He's dealt with the pressure on him brilliantly, but still has rough edges (control, positioning).

My vote goes to BAE though. I've long been a critic, but he's been so bloody consistent despite often being isolated on that wing.

Fleeting moments of spasmodic premature ooohgasm are quite often goals though, and not to be sneezed at!

I actually think Wilson has been poor these past few games.

Voted for Bassong, been a great buy so far, no mistakes and has looked solid in difficult games.

Lennon. Just keeps getting better and better, partly becuase of confidence in himself. This lad is becoming hot property.

No, lennon scored goals that meant we won games that if he'd put in the type of performances that he should be wouldn't have needed winning by the odd, last ditch goal. His performances didn't do enough to influence those games. He did score important goals but without other players actually putting in 90 minute game winning performances which partially compensated for his inactivity his single late goals would have been consolations in defeat not winners.

Sebby Bassong for me.

Been a crucial signing for us, really come into his own and played really well all season

Bassong dosen't convince me, makes many small errors which get to me, but he gets away with it with his pace, IMO King against Man utd was fantastic, and was again our best player against Chelsea, so he deserves it..If he played all 4 games.

and Bus_Conductor, you really have it in for Lennon, its not just assits and goals he adds to the table but he also adds other things, like winning free kicks (which lead to goals) streaching/unsetteling the defence, and in almost all the games he playes he neutralises either the left winger or a center back.....we are lucky to have him, he is prob. above our level

I don't have it in for Lennon I'm just not as oblivious to reality as some of you.

For example here are some stats from yesterday. Kranjcar made 38 accurate passes and won two tackles, Lennon made 27 accurate passes and one tackle. Kranjcar created 2 attempts and Lennon 1. Lennon did create a goal for Keane with a good bit of play, but the pass from Jenas was the most skillfull part of the move and we wasted several other more skillfull assists than Lennons for Keane.

I like Lennon I think he is a great option to have. I just don't think he deserves the accolades he receives from people on here at the detrement to others.

I am very similar to yourself in that I know that you only want whats best for the team, you don't have any favourites and you are happy to give all our players a chance.
I believe that you have absolutely no axe to grind against any of our players (unlike some of our managers)and any criticism is constructive.
I think Lennon is a top 4 player but at the minute isn't really showing it,Bassong has been really good but for me Ekotto has been our most consistent performer this month.

I voted for Jenas because he has come in after no pre season preparation and no games under his belt, and immediately made an impact against Utd, which resulted in his inclusion on the starting XI for the next 3 games and will remain first choice even when Huddlestone can revert back to his normal midfield position

It was close though between him and Bassong

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I voted Jenas. He came on and was our best player v Man U, was our best midfielder v Chelsea (both games in which Lennon, Keane and Defoe were all piss poor) and had a brilliant match filled with everything you want from a midfielder v Burnley.

Let's hope he keeps it up. I like him when he shows ambition and passes to our forwards. If he keeps playing like this all season then he'll win me over for good.

It's a difficult one. We've had a good month but no one has really stood out. This month I've gone for BAE as a consistent performer.

Have to agree with you on this. Methinks the arrival of Palacios and the stepping-up of Huddlestone have blown the cobwebs of complacency from JJ's brain.

I voted Disco Benny, though, as he deserves more acknowledgement for the great work he's been doing right from the start of the season, but it was a tough call between him, JJ, King and Crouch.

I went for Bassong. Ekotto and Crouch were close. But for me Bassong has looked quality since his arrival in the summer. He has been let down by players around him, Corluka in the middle and Hutton at right back. He and Ekotto on the other hand have been solid. He edges Ekotto probably just because he played 1 extra game. Similar for Crouch really. He has done well when he's played, but hasn't played quiete enough to win player of the month for me.

I'm amazed by Lennon choice for last month, we was decent but not better than Luka, but this month ? oh dear, no chance at all, what he did vs Man Utd ? Chelsea ? Burnley ?

for me, it is very difficult month to decide our best player, we were lost vs Man Utd and Chelsea - after their 1st goal -, and watched only our goals vs Preston, so that's one game left for me to decide !

vs Man Utd:
Good: only Cudcini who made several saves.
Decent: JJ was in 2nd half.
OK: BAE & King
Poor: All of Hutton, Corluka, King, Bassong, Hudd, WP, Lennon, Keane & Defoe all were

vs Chelsea:
Good: I was impressed by the mid. trio, Chelsea looked average before there goal, so Hudd, JJ & WP deserves good rate, Plus King because we were solid with him.
decent: Keane because he deserved a penalty which could change the game.
OK: Carlo, BAE, I think Bassong did Ok until King subs, then our defense was poor, so can't be decent.
Poor: Corluka made about 3-4 erros, Lennon did nothing.

Burnley:
excellent: Keane & JJ.
Good: BAE, Hudd, Bassong, WP & Niko
OK: Carlo, Lennon, Corluka, Defoe

Crouch scored 3 vs Preston but not involved that much in League games, Keane & Defoe scored one goal.

so JJ & Keane are very close, think Keane because at the end he finished Burnley in our only League win this month.

Did you see all 90 minutes of the Hull and West Ham games? In the latter, Lennon actually placed a cross on Modric's head and he missed from three yards.

BAE or Bassong for me.

Really close between Keane and Crouch. WP/BAE in third/fourth.

BAE or Bassong for me.

He didn't need to, that glaring miss made it on to MOTD and it should've given Lennon another assist for the season.

He has 5 assists and 2 goals so far this season, not to mention a man of the match display for England in which he got an assist and won a penalty.

But yeah, all the people voting Lennon, as well as Capello are mental and don't understand football.
