Looked really bright and obviously the goal seemed to mean a lot to him. Hopefully a big boost of confidence for the lad.

Lad will be buzzing tomorrow in training. Hopefully he gets another 20+ at home on the weekend.

Have to say that in that short period of time, there was much to like about his play today. He may contribute sooner rather than later, not because of missing players but he seems to really have a nose for the game. He was getting into some great spaces today. I'd really like to see him start soon especially when there are a few senior players around him to keep him calm.

I wonder if he might start in the cup given Son is out. Maybe with Richarlison left and Veliz up top. I thought he looked positive tonight and glad to see him score.

I think Veliz actually is a good example of Ange's idea with youth players.

He did give him some minutes earlier in the season when we had a strong team out.

But Ange did say Veliz won't really be seem until January cause he needs to adjust/acclimatise.

That will go for Dorrington, Donley and Phillips too. They need significant time with the group and core players around them.

Veliz had actually played a good amount of professional football in Argentina so of course he will be ahead of those players mentioned.

Hope we see a bit of him in January

I don't want Richarlison on the left.

I've seen the ball stick to him a few times with his back to goal which separates him from our other forwards.
Took his goal well and you can't ask much more than that so hopefully he will get more time soon.

Poor guy. It's the innocence of youth and he probably felt a duty because we had no subs left but he shouldn't have tried to play on, he could've done further damage.
