What a waste of time. Back to the drawing board.
Would have been better if he stayed here. Even if he barely came off the bench. I’m sure this won’t be good for our relationship with Sevilla although as I mentioned previously I’m not particularly surprised he isn’t playing due to their other options.

New loan for next season - must mean that Ange doesn't rate him worthy of a squad place?

It's all a bit odd considering the fanfare they gave it when they first loaned him. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I doubt it affect our relationship with Sevilla, we're only looking out for the development of our player and they would do the same.

This makes the deal weirder to me. The club taking a loan player aren’t exactly invested in his development if there’s no buying clause.

Surely we should have looked to loan him to a club who needs a striker.

If Leeds come up, I would like to see a loan there for next season, as part of Gray coming to us.

I can see him landing in Italy given he was linked with a whole host of Serie A clubs before he signed for us, and we obviously have connections there - Genoa for example makes sense given our recent business and he could be a sweetener for Gudmondsson or Frendrup similar to the Spence loan.

A PL move would obviously be preferable though, and aside from the reported Bournemouth interest, I can imagine he’d get minutes for the cash strapped clubs (e.g. Luton should they survive), those that have come under PSR scrutiny (Everton, Forest, Wolves) or even Brentford (if they sell Toney) as they all favour a big target man. As far as young, foreign strikers go he is a pretty low risk punt for those clubs as he at least has the physicality and work rate to make a positive contribution.

Reports that he is coming back to us as of now. Obviously we are fed up with Seville not playing him.
Wont be able to play of course. Poss for under 21s , not sure of the rules.

Isn’t it an offence for a GK to puck the ball up for a drop ball?
