These the same owners who tried the same shit with Phil Jones who had a release clause that they tried to get out of when they realised it was set too low?

now we all know what happens
- if the deal goes through by the reported price, he'll end up being zeki fryers 2.0
- if we don't sign him, he'll become the british van dijk in 2 years

So the quoted "source" has a protected twitter account, and there is no other report about this coming out? Seems like bollocks.

It’s Blackburn who are disputing the release clause at the last minute in an attempt to get more money.

That’s not down to Levy or Spurs.

What would be is if we walk away from a deal completely.

The wording in his contract should be clear enough to establish and if he hasn’t got a release clause, then we renegotiate.

I still think £5m is a good price for him personally but understand it’s nearly double what we believe the release clause is.

Hope we can resolve it quickly.

Probably get done. But it would be pathetic to not do such an easy signing

It's just a delay like Soloman. The selling club not giving up easy but they have no choice. Let's arrange a pre season where proceeds go to Tim Flowers and Co or something.

It takes two hands to clap so while blame is not always on us, it makes you wonder why such scenario seems to happen to us so often.
