Looks like we have offered the release clause and it’s Blackburn that are playing silly buggers.I'm choosing not to believe this because if it's true it's pathetic
It’s Alan Nixon, Sports writer for the SunSo the quoted "source" has a protected twitter account, and there is no other report about this coming out? Seems like bollocks.
It's Alan Nixon the journo. Not mega reliable for us apparentlySo the quoted "source" has a protected twitter account, and there is no other report about this coming out? Seems like bollocks.
It takes two hands to clap so while blame is not always on us, it makes you wonder why such scenario seems to happen to us so often. It’s Blackburn who are disputing the release clause at the last minute in an attempt to get more money.
That’s not down to Levy or Spurs.
What would be is if we walk away from a deal completely.
The wording in his contract should be clear enough to establish and if he hasn’t got a release clause, then we renegotiate.
I still think £5m is a good price for him personally but understand it’s nearly double what we believe the release clause is.
Hope we can resolve it quickly.
