Great game, prefer him to Lenglet on current form. Did however sloppy loose the ball that led to Romero’s sending off.
This. Maybe his name is Ben Davies so people and pundits are not going to go crazy over him. But he actually played very well out from the back whenever asked of him. Very underrated.Lets be honest. We've looked better with him back at LCB.
I've seen lots of people say this. I don't think the ball was meant for whoever tried to control/miscontrol it. The ball was going to I think Emerson/whoever was in the RB position. Without the touch in the middle I think everything is fine.Great game, prefer him to Lenglet on current form. Did however sloppy loose the ball that led to Romero’s sending off.
Problem is exactly that…inconsistent to the point that you never know…okay/good one day ..then cost you the next..But I will say that you can’t fault his effort but for what we are aspiring to become I’m still of the opinion he’s not good enough for usSometimes really doesn't expect him to be brilliant, when he's solid and steady, he's good enough for the team. A very professional performance from him yet again, switching from LWB to LCB seamlessly.
I was waiting for someone to comment on this. Truly underrated for us who didn't get enough recognition becasue he's not flashy or a bigger name. We all know he's not the best in ability, but really can't complain when he's always there for us, big games or small games. He has more good games than bad ones, so I think for me that's really good enough. Better than Perisic at LWB! What more could we ask for? A true professional in our squad. ???Big congratulations to gentle Ben on 300 appearances for Spurs. A consummate professional that never moans or creates drama.
thought he was really good yesterday as well. i know some aren’t a fan but i’ll always appreciate Ben’s commitment to the club.Big congratulations to gentle Ben on 300 appearances for Spurs. A consummate professional that never moans or creates drama.
He's set up more attacking situations in 2 games as LWB than Perisic and Sessegnon have done in an entire season.thought he was really good yesterday as well. i know some aren’t a fan but i’ll always appreciate Ben’s commitment to the club.
I agree that Davies (from LWB) has been more effective offensively than Perisic or Sessegnon in open play, but Perisic's 9 assists are nothing to be sniffed at, even if they are mostly from set pieces. He's set up more attacking situations in 2 games as LWB than Perisic and Sessegnon have done in an entire season.
