He’s obviously got a sensible dad as well who knows football inside and out. And At the moment, Chelsea is a basket case of a club and so can’t see he’d be advising his son to go there.
The same sensible dad who praised his son for kicking Richie up in the air after he juggled the ball. He remarked on twitter 'Nobody comes to the city ground and takes the piss.'
I wonder how those two will get along.

Regardless of his level, Chelsea does seem like a bad move for him. They've already got Sterling (currently in great form) and Madueke on the right. And long term he'll never get good minutes playing as a striker there. Plus they're liable to drop a huge fee on another player in his position at any given moment. He could easily get buried in that squad and stuck there on a long contract.

I think at Spurs, at the very least, he's coming off the bench for Kulu every game and would be guaranteed a decent number of starts.

Imagine getting pissy because a professional footballer kept the ball off the floor with three whole touches in close proximity to your son

Forest have signed

Montiel, a right back from Sevilla
Andrey Santos, a centre midfielder on loan from Chelsea

And are apparently in advanced negotiations for

Murilo, a centre back from Corinthians
Zaidu Sanusi, a left back from Porto

That tells us they could be spending money they know they’ve got coming and I don’t see them taking any of our players in the Johnson deal on the back of these 4 deals for them.
Apparently they have FFP difficulties 🤷🏻‍♂️
Johnson would be a good signing for Ange's style of football I reckon, can put pressure on Richy and Kulu’s spots.

I actually quite rate Johnson, sorry
Same, he’s rapid. Gave the ball away very few times last year. Carried it further than anyone else and had the least options to pass to when he reached the end of the runs still keeping the ball. And he got 8 goals in the premier league in his first season in a very poor team.

How was he until he got injured?
I only switched on 5 minutes or so before he got cramp and UTd were all over forest. He had a chance to be put through but Danilo played a shit ball. Was a good run.

Im trying to remember the sequence but I think he only got subbed due to forest getting the red card. Don't think it was a result of the injury.

There was one moment where he received the ball outside the area and saw a little gap between 2 United defenders, burst through it to get in behind and made an excellent pullback for Gibbs-White.

If Awoniyi had not got in the way, he would have had a very nice assist.

Anyone know if he can play in a central forward role to an adequate level for us?

If we only get one singing for the front line we really need someone who also can play in the middle in my opinion.
Yep he can play RW, CF or ST all well.

More I think about this the more I think he’d be a great option especially for this season when Richy isn’t going anywhere, then come next summer if Richy has had a stinker of a season we sell him and sign someone else but will have developed and integrated a 22yr old talented versatile HG player in Johnson who gives us something we don’t currently have.

Even if he does seem a good "option" he'd likely be cover /replace for Deki. We need to be replacing Richarlison. It's really not working for him at this club. Sometimes these things happen and it looks to be that way with him. We'd be lethal with an upgrade there.
