Yeah, hasn’t exactly ripped up trees in Holland and we’ve seen played with much better stats fail badly here.
I can’t see us have a quality front 3 again if I’m honest.

According to many he is a much better prospect than BJ. It will be interesting to see how their respective careers pan out during the next few years.

Oh 100%. They will be just as clued up about his mentality, his dedication, focus, diet, social groups etc as well as every possible metric both in game and in training. That’s why sometimes we have to just put faith in the system.

I get that completely. But purely as someone who is just a fan of the sport and watches a lot of football I just struggle to see the attraction. Really there are others I would much prefer us sign. But I fully realise that my own knowledge is incredibly limited in comparison and thus quite possibly, and hopefully, wrong.

You're knowledgeable for sure, and I respect your opinion.

I think the lad has talent and pace, even though I've not been blown away when watching him.

But with better players around him, better coaching and a move that would inspire I'm hoping he'd be a good fit.

If Brentford are making this outlay on a raw player outside of PL then we have ZERO excuses to not get the Johnson deal done.

It’s a guessing game as to if this or any other business gets done.

Based on history it won’t and we won’t sign anyone as it’s too late and deals will collapse and we will all be very frustrated but not surprised.

However the plan from the outside has seemed that we sign 4-5 key players knowing Kane will likely go. Then we focus on selling a good 6-7 players not in Ange’s plans then last 2 days of the window we try to sign an attacking player E.g. Johnson and perhaps a CB and/or CM based on outgoings.

If we get minimum CB & AM/ST then we can say we’ve had a reasonable window and have carried out some sort of ‘plan’.

This summer has/had felt different and more organised but today and tomorrow will ultimately define if the overall window has been a success or not.
