It would be great if Ange can coach him to be a genuine threat playing on either flank.

This would keep both Solomon and Kulusevski on their toes. If Deki is playing well, Johnson can compete with Solomon on the left but still be an option to move to the right during a game or off the bench etc. And if Solomon is playing well then Johnson can do the same on the right.

With Son playing striker and Johnson and Solomon as wider options, we've got 2 wide players there who offer a mixture of explosive pace over distance (Johnson) and acceleration (Solomon). Add in Son as striker and that's a much more dynamic and fast attack than we've had for quite a while.

My hope, and i fully understand it’s a very unlikely one, is that Ange can develop Gil. I know he is lightweight but in terms of raw ability I certainly think he could suit the system. If hypothetically he did manage to get a tune out of him then we would have a natural left footed winger and a right footed inside forward on the LW and visa versa on the RW. That would give us fantastic versatility on both flanks.

I get that he is more likely to be sold or loaned in Jan but Ange hasn’t actually had any real time with him as he got injured just before the tour so maybe there’s still a chance for him.

Just watched all his NF goals, and I noticed that every finished was inside the box. He scores a couple of similar type goals. The ones I love is when he gets the ball and pushes it past the defender and is able to find the other corner across the keeper. Reminds me of Bale when he did that in his first few seasons off of the left for us.

Will be interesting to see how Ange utilizes him.

Some of those finishes with no 20 on the shirt made me think of someone else…
