I really like him going forward. My big worry is I don’t think he’s got a very good engine, he sprints then looks shattered and is very poor at tracking back.

we can just get him to jog and work out more, he'll be fine

Goes missing for large parts not really sure what his best position is . But still had some telling moments during the game . So u guess that’s the sign of a good player

Some may not agree, but I'm impressed by him so far. Obviously still think there's room for improvement, but his pace is going to cause defenders lof of problems. I'm sure he never got a full pre season at Forest cause he was injured (,correct me if I'm wrong), and also got injured early doors for us, so this past month he's been building up his fitness and learning to play in a new team & style. Contributed with a few assists now, and a goal.

He’s really dangerous and it’s fantastic having an attacker in our squad with the raw elite tier pace he possesses.

The thing I really love so far though is his willingness to cross and cut the ball back with both feet.

He was unlucky not to force an own goal first half when he skinned Gvardiol and smashed it across goal. That was with his stronger foot.

Second half he found a moment of quality and actually got a yard on Kyle Walker which is crazy. Then he didn’t hesitate and delivered a lovely ball with his left foot.

Both of his PL assists so far have been with his weaker foot and he also had that assist against Chelsea ruled out which was left foot too.

Real weapon that he’s capable of crossing and cutting back with both feet, especially combined with his raw pace which is frightening.

He has a lot to work on and he’s still quite raw but I can see why Ange wanted him now.

Can't deny he's making a contribution and is surely nowhere near settled yet. Hoping he can improve that fitness and work rate moving forwards. If he wants to be elite he needs to work harder on the defence.

Those that don’t agree are clueless…looks a real talent imo

He’s showing enough to at least stick with. Shane Solomon and Perisic are out though. Gil doesn’t seem to be grabbing his chance

He looks much better than I thought he would. I also think he will benefit alot playing more regularly with someone like Maddison.

Got to be honest, and I know many will disagree, I didn’t really see Johnson do much more than Gil did today. Both players were instrumental in a goal, yes Johnson actually got the assist and Gil didn’t but I’d say Gil’s role in the first goal was just as important. Johnson did have that moment of raw pace were he put Givardiol on ice but that aside I thought he was largely anonymous and even poor at times with his decision making just like Gil. Also he really needs to work on the defensive side of the game.

I say all this not as someone who doesn’t like Johnson, I think he definitely has potential and it’s clear his pace is going to be a real threat. I just think both players need as much game time as possible and it’s far to soon to make a clear judgement on ether. Maybe Johnson ends up the better player than Gil, certainly possible, but at the moment both are raw and need refining and both have been error prone at times. But that is all to be expected imo, patience is needed.
