Sounds like he's back much sooner than we anticipated, he went on to say this

Conte on injuries

Fresh players injured no, but we didn't recover the players that are injured.

(When asked if Eric Dier is out) Yeah, but I don't want to speak about the names. A couple of injuries that they are very close, very close to start to play again but it's better not to take a stupid risk for the game tomorrow because we risk losing players for a long time.

Great news.

Wonder if Sunday is too soon for him? Especially of Dier is gonna be out.

Anyway, great he's nearly back in contention.

He was on Instagram last night getting a tattoo or 2 as far as I could see, how long do they usually take to heal? Surely if he's in contention for Sunday he wouldn't risk that?

Mine were one day wrapped in foil, three to five days of healing and around two weeks of regular lotioning to keep it from drying out. He could probably play Sunday as long as he's training alright and doesn't suffer any reactions.

I think it's daft as fuck to get tattoos done mid-season though.

Don't worry he's got plenty of time for it to recover before Argentina's next game

It's already been announced he's not going. One page back.
There is nothing official in that tweet. Just someone’s opinion.
Great for us if he doesn’t go but if he plays in the next week don’t rule it out. Argentina have not definitely qualified as yet. Near as dammit though.
These Argies do like to play for their country.

Could really, really do with him back for Sunday.
Mate having both him and Dier out is a massive issue for us. We aren't great going forward so to have your two best Cb's out is only going to mean one thing. We will look far better defensively when both are back.

Agreed, we miss Dier so much, having Romero back would we great but I also think dropping Sanchez is going to be hard!

however I don’t think he would ever be fit enough for Sunday

Looking forward to Romero's return. tempering expectations though as i think his mentality will lead to some cards and not all of them will be yellow. With that said, having him play smart and controlled will be immense.

Yup, and not only that they’re miles ahead of Japh and Davinson with the ball as well. Won’t have it coming straight back at us so much.
