Seeing as we seemingly want 2 new CBs and are trying to shift (at least) Sanchez and Toby and had previous interest in Demeral, could we perhaps nip in there in front of Atalanta and nab him as well I wonder?
He's too similar to Romero. Ideally we need a ball playing CB. Or someone who is quick and can construct.

Seems that Demiral going to Atalanta is a part of this deal -- they're lining up their replacement from the very club they're triggering Romero's loan purchase clause from, and will sell once they've sorted it. The money we're paying makes its way into Juve's cash-strapped coffers, and Atalanta get their replacement. Makes sense that Paratici would be involved in orchestrating it all, given his close ties to Juve and his previous involvement in Romero's loan which is a lynchpin to this bit of business.

CCV - £5M (hopefully moves soon)
Toby - £13m
Foyth - £13m

There's pretty much your down payment on Romero ?

Romero played in the middle of a 3 for Atalanta and on the right of a 2 for Argentina. Seems like we might need someone left footed or at least most comfortable on the left to play next to him. Unless he's to play next to Rodon which I'm not against.

Tomiyasu is equal as good with his left foot and right foot.

This is one of the "new" twitter "ITK"s posting their 'insider info' that Romero is done.

They haven't blanked out what looks like the word 'Gards' very well ?

Romero, Kounde, Tomiyasu and Gil has all the making of a dream, a midsummer night's dream.

I'd be surprised if we got Kounde he clearly wants CL and so he should. If he can't get a CL move this summer it makes more sense for him to wait a year. Romero is an exceptional signing for us and we should be delighted if it comes off. Plus the others you mention it's an amazing start for Paratici and credit to Levy for getting the cheque book out again.

it would be truly extraordinary, but:
- Kounde I feel is a real long shot. Can’t see it myself. If we have an offer accepted I feel we’ll be gazumped
- it would surely only happen if Kane goes

For the record, I’d take Kane going if it meant we got that and (for instance) Vlahovic.

Just personal opinion

Romero would be an awesome start though

I think the Sanchez angle makes it possible to keep Kane but that said I'm one of those that thinks he'll go anyway and I'd go for your option too.

They want Sanchez though, which gives us an advantage. For example, another team will have to come up with 60 - 70 million in cash if they want Kounde. Whereas we can offer 30 + Sanchez, that is why I think it could happen.

Once he is (hopefully) through the door it will be interesting to see if links to other centre backs cease or continue if we really are after more than one.
