Felt he needed an experienced head next to him but proving me wrong so far this season.
I think most of us thought the same mate, that he needed an experienced head beside him to cool him down but he's proved us all wrong.
I honestly don't think I'm getting carried away when I say that Romero and VdV have the potential to become one of the best CB pairings of all time.
They just seem to have everything.

I still think his biggest problem was getting frustrated at how passive we were. I think that's why he was being extra aggressive. Now we're a lot more aggressive as a team he's not getting as frustrated. Like when he came charging out of the back it always felt like he was annoyed at the lack of possession we had and just wanted to do something. He was never suited to just sitting back all the time. He's a defender who wants to play on the front foot.

Basically he knew there was F all else if he didn't win tge ball kast season so he took massive risks. We now have Super Mickey VDV. 👌

He has CL-level ability and that is where he belongs. He isn't at prime age yet for a CB. We need to be playing consistent CL otherwise we won't keep him.

this reminded me of times when I would see Romero playing as a striker because he just felt to go up there for a bit. Love him

Thats how you know he is proper Spurs.
Typical Argentine who wants to attack. Poch and Ardiles were not attackers but as managers they play attacking football. I think that's why our Argentine players and managers fit in well here. They always want to go forward and never afraid to take it to any opponent.

The mentality of this squad. It is getting better every day.

🎙️| Cristian Romero:

“I see it in this way, to win it doesn't only depend on the coaching staff and 30 players in the squad, it does not only depend on this. It depends on a lot of aspects that are around to build an institution which will look to win things. In the future a lot of players will have played here and to achieve something would be huge. Because if you don't, you can just be another player who played for this club. I would not like that. For that, I always say that Ange is an ideal coach for the club, the chairman is making big changes, the squad is good, we are working for that [to achieve something].”

watch this Video then go look at the post from a Villa fan in the what our opponents fans are saying thread that says we lack a defender that can pass like Pau Torres 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Yeah I thought some of his passing was unreal in this game
