No choice but to sell kane now, afterall messi will want the no10 shirt(n)

Anyhow, welcome romero! Much needed and will be a great player for us. Lets hope paratici can get a quality cb partner to ensure we have the strong defense and solod base we will need.

This guys going to be a hero, along with gil.

This is not a fully funny news. Seems there's certainly some truth in it.

I just heard the ex-RM president Calderon on Talkshite...saying he has heard, one of the reasons Messi hasn't pushed for further talks is he doesnt believe in the team and had specifically asked Barca to sign Romero from Atalanta...but Barca inability to sign players is also contributing factor

Romero is quality, for me personally he's hopefully going to be our best Cb since Richard Gough. I love Ledley, Jan and Toby but only thing wrong with Gough was homesickness. Bloke was absolute top drawer.

Typical we are about to break our transfer record by signing a player that has best stats in seria A last season and it’s all going to small talk with messi saga going on ??‍♂️

I wonder where Messi ends up? Gotta be City, right? I'd handicap it as City, PSG, MLS and then Juventus.
Based on the Kane thread, it sounds like City tried going for Messi in the past two years but got burned and decided that they aren't interested this time around. Very early on though so we'll see what happens in the next few days.

Additionally, it seems like Messi has been on vacation with quite a few players on PSG recently. If I were a betting man (I learned from the New Manager to never bet on football futures again), I would guess he'd go to Paris.

Edit: happy to delete this comment and take the convo to the Messi thread if the mods would like

Ok guys there's a great new thread for discussing Messi, it's called Lionel Messi.

Got to say I am proper chuffed with the Romero deal.

Edit: Not having a pop at anyone I just figured people weren't aware of the new Messi thread. ?

Kane being a bellend ensured it was small talk anyway. At least we are excited
