This sums up everything.Romero under Conte:
"We'd win a game then we'd lose two. When things are divided and coaches and players are not pulling in the same direction it becomes very difficult."
Romero under Ange:
"He's a coach that works perfectly for Tottenham, he's brought a lot of new hope," Romero said. "It might take a while, but I think what he's doing is fantastic. He's putting together a great group and creating a really good atmosphere. It's only been two or three months, but all of the team are behind him. It's always positive to have a coach who wants to assume responsibility, and the club needed this new energy."
Love it But also with the added responsibility he now has (such a shrewd move from Ange), he’s also seemingly calming down a little also.I know some don’t, but I absolutely love how aggressive he is. He is a proper warrior and other players will be nervous around him.
And having an actual good centre back partner beside him. He’s turned aggression into controlled aggression. I think having a leadership position suits him.
I need to stop backing him to get booked every week!
brilliant again today particularly after that awful aerial challenge by Solanke.
Having a settled centre back partnership and goalkeeper is what will get us the results. I just hope we can bolster the defence further over the coming days. I'm sure Ange will be aware that if that partnership gets broken up then we'll be in trouble. Our new (very very young) defence - gk + back 4 - are looking so good with this set up
they all looking like they are enjoying our football (that suits them) and are very much “up for it”, giving that extra 1-5% that was missing last season
Yeah masterstroke making him vice captain, responsibility has calmed the rashness.Love it But also with the added responsibility he now has (such a shrewd move from Ange), he’s also seemingly calming down a little also.
Don't you dare. Clearly your money is keeping him on the straight and narrow. Thankyou for your sacrifice.I need to stop backing him to get booked every week!

Spot on - said that last season. Still not conceded with him and VDV on the pitch at the same time.Being in a 2 means her needs to be more disciplined and that suits him
Yep, fully agree, he's been fantastic. I think it's the extra responsibility he's been handed that has brought this more mature performance out of him - so another bit of great man management by the boss. Crazy to think at just turned 25 he's the senior member of our back line now, but he's clearly relishing being the leader back there.Romero was absolutely phenomenal yesterday, Maddison was brilliant but when I was watching the game I meant to come in here and say I felt Romero was my MOTM.
One thing I noticed yesterday was his new level of discipline. In previous seasons, he stepped out with the ball and ended up being a CF joining the attack. But something I've noticed this season is as soon as he's left CB, he stops, lays the ball off and sprints back to get into position. Ange has drilled it into him that due to the high line etc, he cannot just leave VdV to defend alone.
Simply brilliant Cuti
