Would need to watch it again, but depending on if someone was directly behind him it's going in so in theory a denial of a goal? I can see why they may think that. Not that it was intentional or anything of the sort, but I can understand the view point. Some ex-ref on Talksport this morning just said Romero was lucky not to get sent off for the handball. Incredible.

Where did I say it was a deliberate move? I literally said it wasn't intentional.. I said denial of a goal.It was a crowded box, no way was that a deliberate move.

Got a banging headache and not reading things properly, so if I have misunderstood I apologise. But you replied to me talking about a deliberate move when I said I don't believe it to be intentional, it was just possibly denying a goal. I haven't seen it back since yesterday, which is why I am not sure if Vicario was right behind him, Bissouma or nobody. He didn't stop it deliberately, but he did stop it whether we like the rule or not. I also couldn't tell if Maddison(?) got a nick on the ball as it gets struck. There was lots going in those few moments. You didn't. If you read carefully, you will see I didn't say "You said it was a deliberate move". I avoid saying things that aren't true for fear of being caught out by cyber detectives and truth vigilantes.
Not intentional, but denial of a goal. Subjective I'd say. Some would probably scream for it up the other end, me being one of them. As a defender it's not a penalty, as an attacker it is. The crux of it, as Ange rightly pointed out, is the lack of consistency in what is and what isn't handball. But surely the double jeopardy rule would kick in in that case?
That was Cuti at his best today. Dominant.
Master stroke from Ange. He’s really upped his game and maturity this season! Think the vice captain and progress football is what he needed
