He’s a fucking liability and he’s cost us a game tonight, and not for the first time.

Without his antics we would likely have battered Chelsea, and it’s debatable whether we’d have suffered the injuries we did while struggling to play with a man down.

Shame he let his team down. We were battering them until his utter stupidity. That red has probably changed the overall outlook of this season.
I wouldn't say that tbh. It started to turn when Udogie got booked for the sterling foul, at that point we were losing our heads for whatever reason who knows?

The maddening thing is that he's been *so* good this season, both in terms of his play and his temperament. It really looked like he'd matured with VdV next to him and his leadership role but it's all come crashing down. He survived the first check (which should've been red) and it was the perfect opportunity to take some deep breaths and compose himself but he just went flying in again minutes alter. So frustrating.

Goes to show that brain dead lad is still in there no matter how much we want him to mature. He owes that squad a huge apology

Plays on the line but when he loses it he truly loses it. Can't call him a captain when he gets so overheated. Trust Ange will straighten him out.

I am so ridiculously angry and disappointed with him tonight. Our full 11 would walk that Chelsea team off the park. We are light years better.

His stupid mistake didn’t just earn himself getting sent off, it resulted in us being on the back foot heavily and losing VDV in the process. He is vice captain. He should do better.

Buy a CB in January, it’s a must.

Disappointed he had these brain dead five minutes again, but we lose and win together. He was probably our best player last month and a true rock this season. Ange will give him a lesson, then get behind him again...

His booking was worse than the red card. It was a stupid thing to do and he was lucky VAR didn't send him off.

We have to have a serious think about this guy long term. Yes top defender and great on the ball BUT loses his head far far far too often and it costs us big time.

Toby & Jan never did this, Leadley King never did this, the only real top top defenders I can remember who got sent off so recklessly were Pepe and mabye Sergio Ramos who was one of the best ever CB’s.

This is Romeo’s first strike under Ange and until now this season he’s been far more composed and far less rash and we though he’d turned a corner but tonight he kicked out needlessly which could’ve easily been a red and then he went in far too hard in the box and essentially cost us the game.

Ange will dress him down and hopefully this leads to Romero properly turning a corner from now on but for me he’s lost all his lives now and if he gets sent off so recklessly again honestly I’d look to sell him or at least make sure we have 2 top top class CB’s on the bench to play Ange’s system for when he’s out suspended but it’s the fact he often costs us in really big games that’s also a big problem if we want to be a top team.

Do City’s CB’s lash out like this? NO.
Do Arsenal’s? NO
Do Liverpool’s? NO

Did any of our previously top top ones? NO

Final strike Cuti, grow the fuck up now, don’t become our version of Xhaka because Ange will move you on pal.

True mate but he costs us too often, that’s his final chance for me.

This. We should be making contingency plans to upgrade him, he can’t be trusted.

STOP

Him losing his head had NOTHING to do with the RC. The play before that - yes, he was too emotional. But, not the RC play that actually cost us.

He tried to clear a ball in the box - he follow through went over the ball and into the shin. It was a tough play, and it was a red card. But it was not reckless, or from him losing his head, or playing dangerously. It happened. we move on, with Romero as a key player in this squad.
