Admittedly, this is going full tinfoil hat… but ever since the Liverpool game, it feels like refs have been very lenient on teams that come out and knock the living shit out of our players during the first 30 mins. Rarely do you see them call fouls and are even more reluctant to dish out yellows. Conversely, our boys seem to get carded for farting in the general direction of the officiating staff.

Yeah, I know it’s all in my head. But, things have changed a lot in terms of how teams are now playing against us since Pool. In most matches now they seem to go in hard and with malice during the first third of the game, as if they feel there is a pattern of refs turning a blind eye during this period of the match.
Mate, it's not just you who's thinking the same way. Me and my brother were discussing the same thing the other day. Ever since that Liverpool game, we seem to get booked easy, and opposition don't seem to pick up any cards too.

Probably in our heads, but you definitely aren't the only once noticing this pattern.

This season certainly post Liverpool i feel we are being officiated poorly most weeks, i get most football fans feel like that but i’m sure there is stats to back it up.

post Liverpool we were fouled 30 odd times without a booking.

I’m still fucked off about the imaginary card waving that got Udogie booked but not your man.

Yates. Total WUM. Got whatever bad karma is coming his way. Watched him a few times since that match, and it definitely wasn’t an isolated incident. Guy gets away with a lot of dirty shit.

Is anyone aware of a cryo-sleep option? I'm thinking maybe 4-5 weeks. Just enough time for all the injured players to get back and for the AFCON/Asian Cups to be over. Please let me know.

I'm not saying he has a control problem nearly as bad as Pepe, but he reminds me of Pepe, I mean this as a compliment. Pepe was incredible with Ramos, but man those guys were the dirtiest players I've ever seen, but at the end of the day they were both incredible.

This is who Romero is, a player always teetering on the verge of being sent off but you take that risk with how good he is. It's just part of his nature as a player and I wouldn't change that at all because if he does it could alter how he plays entirely.

If they are training full on they will be ok for United in 11 days time
Bentancur did a week then straight in as a starter.
Things are looking up

And this is why I love him and why the hate for him is beyond stupid.

I always watch ESPN with this guy as commentator for us (I'm based in SA)

Him and his co commentator have been mentioning the loss of Romero alot recently, they both agree we are missing his leadership and presence at the back (hard to argue)

What he says in this video is how Romero left him a message and said how Postecoglu is very paternal and the whole squad is behind his way of football, he also talks about the full backs being further up the pitch sometimes and that's how we play. So sometimes they don't get back, but not because they don't want to but because of how they're asked to play.

He (Romero) thinks it's too soon to talk about the title but that we are getting closer with each game.

This commentator is also very big on Veliz and wants to know why he's not starting, which suggests he's highly thought of in Argentina.

To be honest the commentators are much more knowledgeable than British ones, although (of course) they are biased towards the south American players.

Some get nicknames as well, Richarlison is known as "el picante" translates as spicy, but more means he winds people up and gets wound up as well as being fiery.

Romero looked like he was back in Argentina for New year's so I reckon he won't be back this weekend

I have a feeling we will have Romero, VdV & Dragusin to pick from for UTD. If Romero is touch and go, then at least we have the other two to give Romero another 2+ weeks to recover. I feel all three will be in that matchday squad. Maddison could also make that squad if he has no setbacks. Would be amazing to have those options with no Son, Sarr or Bissouma.

Great news! Looks like utd will also have casimero snd Martinez back plus Onana has delayed his Afcon involvement so he can play us, so they will be quite strong.

Battle of the physio rooms to see who can get the most players fit!!!
