I think if we end up with Kane, Dele, Lo Celso, Lamela, Son, Lucas contesting the front three spots, with Winks, Ndombele, Dier, Wanyama, Sissoko and Ceballos contesting the middle three, we have a fair bit of depth.

Either way, if Eriksen’s leaves then two in, if he doesn’t then 1 in, is how I would hope it plays out.

Think we'd still have to get rid of some. Onomah, edwards etc... Would be nice to get a few quid for them.

Ceballos is described as doubtful due to Madrid not being sure about a replacement. If Ceballos stays, it’s very likely because we’ve kept Eriksen.

Clubs not announced Llorentes left yet even though his contracts expired. I reckon we’ll give him another 1yr deal for a bit less money. Lo Celso Sessegnon then eriksen/a replacement we’ll be more than covered in attack

Depth wise, as long as we end up with 12 players we trust to start for the front 6 positions, I’m not that worried about the overall make up so long as there are at least 4 who can play outright midfield (as we’d always play at least 2) and at least 6 who can play in attack (as we’d always play with at least 3).

Dier played pretty close to every game for us for 4 and a half years. His record since Christmas doesn’t make him injury prone - fuck, most of it was appendicitis and tonsillitis.

Oh absolutely, and swapping out Wanyama for Ceballos (or someone similarly elegant, as the two French players have ‘all-action’ down) is possible would be ideal. I think calling Dier unreliable is a bit harsh after 1 injury hit season, he was almost ever present the previous four years.

If we had Winks, NDombele, Sissoko, Dier and one more we’d be absolutely fine. Then 7 attackers of similar fluidity and versatility to the existing lot and were set. Kane, Dele, Son, Lucas, Lamela, Eriken/ Lo Celso, Sessegnon.

I don’t mean he’s medically unreliable. He’s more ponderous and less efficient in central midfield compared to others

Luckily we have NDombele, Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele and Skipp who can all play CM in addition to the ones you mentioned.

Plus, Dele isn’t really that great at CM and Eriksen might not be here in four weeks. Oh, and Skipp has potential but needs more time
