Looks like Villarreal were only interested in a stupidly low fee so we are taking the chance that he does well there and attracts interest from elsewhere.

Problem is all the big spenders are the usual suspects and if they don't want players like Lo Celso we have to go elsewhere.
Clubs like Villareal are not big spenders, even Ajax a club with big history do not spend big , Levy did manage to get a record fee from them for Stevie which was a good bit of business.

Yeah, a buy option is usually to the advantage of the buying club anyway. If the player proves worthy of the fee, they activate it, if not they don't.
