I really find gio is actually one of the most disappointing midfielders we have. I don’t think there’s much difference between him and winks, just levels of confidence.

at least winks can play 90 mins whereas gio is struggling along with ndombele to make it over 70 mins

Seriously dude WTF, thats all i can say , WTF

GLC showed some real promise while on loan, as soon as it became permanent and he picked up the injury he has been pretty poor. Very disappointing but still better than some of the others in his position.

Think we need to find a fixed position for him.

yeah probably in the reserves

a bit tongue in cheek but when you watch him for the last two years I am not sure what his strengths are - he largely plays it simple, nothing wrong with that- but he doesn't dominate or even demand the ball really - he has no real range of passing that I've seen - he is alright in the tackle but nothing more than that and not much of a goal threat - I just see him as being pretty bog average

I think his best game was against Liverpool a couple of years ago when they beat us and he played further forward he was unlucky not to score sliding in and I think he took a good free kick in that game I don't think he has taken one since- but whether its his role in the side or just lack of ambition he has been just average- the performance the other night was a typical performance in a game where he should have stood up he was hiding for me - he just doesn't seem to have either the personality or the confidence to push on as a player and I doubt he ever will

You don't get to play 30 times for Argentina if you are pretty bog average.

Lamela has 25 caps, and he's fit them in around chronic injuries and, according to almost everyone except a smaller proportion of Spurs fans, is 'bang average'.

(I say this as a long term pro-Lamela person, by experience)

I mean it's also important to say 23 of these caps came before 2016. He was good then, 5 years ago is a long time

It’s a similar case as Lamela really. gio scored 16 goals I think the season before we signed him. Also about the same numbers as lamela. Maybe he needs to play a little further forward? Dunno? But the guy was on a different level before he got injured. He has a touch of class about him. We just need to keep him off the injury table.

1 goal and two assists for spurs in the league.

he isn’t the player that makes the pass before the pass. That would imply he controls the tempo of the game which he doesn’t.

I dislike winks and I dislike lo celso get rid of both.

Seen him a few times for Argentina and he looks far more solid than he does with us. It’s frustrating as there’s clearly a good player in there.

Exactly. Guy has a good season playing in one position, we buy him and ask him to do something else! That does my fuckin nut in.
Why not just buy players you know can do what it is you want them to do?

I think he’s just not cut out for this league how many injuries has he had in the time he’s been here? Few glimpses of a player in there but I don’t even think he knows if he’s a attacking midfielder, a number 8 or a box to box midfielder

Poor again. He looks like he couldn't give a shit.
thought he came on and started schooling our defence and mid how to play out. Maybe Wolves tired but we looked a lot better balanced once he came on. Did he pull down buildings, no but think your view is just plain wrong.
