I'll think he'll actually be raring to go and put in a good performance tomorrow. This is an actual chance for him to get some consistent minutes over the course of 2-3 months, in his preferred position and with, hopefully, some of our better players there by his side.
Exactly this, I watched him last season in some big games for villareal and he was brilliant, he was one of the most creative players in Europe. There’s talent in there and if he’s feeding our front 3 he’ll create chances

I’ll add. I don’t want people to do what they always do with him. They over analyse everything he does, they chastise him and don’t give him time.
The guy has barely played, he’s barely played with the players around him so get behind him if he does start and give him time. It may take a game or two to get used to the players around him

I hope he gets a chance and grabs it today. We need to be as careful as possible getting Bentancur back up to speed imo and Gio was really very good for a spell under Mourinho and again in Spain.

Well that's surely bye bye GLC. What a waste of a player putting him into the 3 previous managers.

Bar injury he has to start in Maddison’s place. Was excellent when he came on, wanted to get on the ball, directing players to move up the pitch, moved the ball forward well, tackled excellently. Scratching my head as to why he didn’t start. Hopefully he gets some mins for Argentina to get his match fitness up (and doesn’t get injured).

It's what he had to do. He has hardly featured, had to come on and show a bit. His work to get back and tackle as well showed he also will work for the team.
We tried Sarr there and it didn't work so Lo Celso to start against Villa makes sense now. Move Sarr back to his better position and Bentancur for Bissouma in that game.

For me, he has to start against Villa. A midfield 3 of Sarr, Bentancur and GLC. However I am expecting Hojbjerg to start.
