We can probably get a reasonable fee for him in Europe and as others have said it's time for him to move on (imo). I've never been a big fan of his as is probably quite obvious - no doubt he is a talented player but for most of his time here he mostly didn't seem to settle or really want to be here, had some good moment but was injured a lot and never found a rhythm. Has had a few good moments in the past couple of months but still for me just doesn't offer enough to be a regular here and unfortunately his injuries just keep happening.

I dunno if we can. We've been trying to sell him for 3 years without success.

Well he is certainly somebody that lots of teams would be very interested in, even if it's some sort of loan with an obligation. Long term I just don't see him here.

Just be aware that the reasonable fee is loan with option in the summer for 10m
10 million would be probably fair enough considering his injury record and contract length (ends next year). Would be nice to get 15-20 million but most clubs appear to be skint and I can't see him staying in England.

Going to be interesting what the club/Ange decide to do with him. Ange obviously rates him and has talked him up a good amount of late and he has repaid the faith with some very good performances. I don't think we would allow a year loan come summer as by the end of it he would be free. Plus when he is fir he is actually an asset to the club. No club is going to agree to an obligation ether because again they know he will be free once its finished. Ether we will try and sell him outright which given his contract situation plus injury record will probably be very low or keep him until his contract runs out.

From an ability perspective he clearly fits the system very well and he can perform in the PL but having two injury prone players in the same position is probably too much to carry. Real shame tbh as he is a quality player.

Problem is they are all skint in Europe. Any buys that clubs make are normally nowhere near 20m . We will have to take whatever we can get. No point keeping him with his record.

Yeah we will likely just have to take what we can get, at least we would gain whatever wages he is on and hopefully some sort of a fee even if it isn't a big one.

He has again shown glimpses this season of the player he can be. But another injury just feels like it’s never going to consistently happen for him here.

If we strengthen up top in the summer (or if Richarlison and Werner kill it) then Kulusevski as a 2nd choice 10 is better anyway. I don't mind GLC if there's suitable space in the squad for him. However not a player I would worry about selling.

It’s a real shame but think we need to move him on in the summer.

He just can’t be relied on.

I would certainly consider it, and I like the player and want him to be part of the squad moving forward to be honest, but his talents can't be utilised if he's so often unavailable.

Just at the time when the player ahead of him gets injured, and he has the chance to step up, he becomes riddled with injuries. Makes it all the more frustrating.

Such a pity... if it's frustrating for us as fans, imagine what it's like for him not being able to stay fit. He missed representing his country winning the world cup!

Sadly he's turning into a current day Lamela, you cannot count on him to be available on a regular basis. And I loved Lamela by the way. Pity.

From official app -
"Both obviously came off in the last game [Davies and GLC]," Ange began. "Ben has got a hamstring injury so it'll probably be around four or five weeks (out for him).

"Gio is similar but it is a little bit more complicated. We're still trying to get to the bottom of it. I think he is having another assessment on Monday but he will miss this game (United clash).

Sounds like GLC could be longer than initially reported

So assesment today, wonder what is the estimate now? We probably have Sessegnon, Maddison, Solomon and Kulusevksi back for City game, but could well do with Gio too. But probably out for longer period?

I think the gio is similar but a bit more complicated is RE time frame (similar to Davies) 4-5 weeks. But I may be reading it wrong

No point in keeping for me, sell and replace for someone who can consistently be available.

Always see lots of people raving about him but for me, there’s no point when he’s so rarely on the pitch to show it.

Whenever we get injuries and people get excited about him getting a chance, it feels like you can count the days until he joins them in the treatment room.

Really frustrating, he’s a talented player and I really like him but he seems to constantly pick up injuries and spends more time in treatment than on the pitch. Bad luck or is he made of balsa wood?!

Played and been available for more games under Ange than Maddison and Bentancur, similar number to Biss, VDV and Romero. Frustrating that he has picked up an injury when we’re so short of midfielders but as can be seen from our injury list, they happen to the best of us without rhyme or reason.

How many games has he been available for us in the last 3 years though? He has only had two spells of fitness that I can think of where he has had regular football for us since he joined. That is abysmal.
