I also love his pre-corner prep, there's no way anyone's going to lose concentration or not pick their man up with Vic organising them all very vocally from the moment the ball goes out of play.

After reading this, makes me think that we pulled off a pretty major coup in signing him!
Shows we get way too Prem focused in our thinking (I am also guilty of this). The whole of Italy rated him but a fair amount of us wrote him off from day 1.

great little initiative by the club

'When the Covid pandemic hit, Vicario would call some of the season ticket holders to check in on them as part of a club initiative.

One particular phone call caused headlines as he spent much of his time assuring the elderly husband of a fan that it was indeed him, the Perugia goalie, and it wasn't a joke. The fans already loved the player but now they admired the man and the humanity he regularly displayed.'

How the hell did we ever deserve this? Amazing
"This was what I wanted, and I didn't want to listen to anything else. As soon as I knew there was an opportunity to come [to Spurs], I would've signed in blood and come on foot from Italy," Vicario said.

Nah he was the cheap option mate 😏

So glad we can finally put that to rest. We wanted this guy and we got him. He’s been bloody brilliant.

I got that by watching him play! some of the saves lately that he has made look routine have been unbelievable.
Oh yeah for sure. He's been nothing short of sensational.

I wouldn't swap him for any other keeper in the world at the moment, not only for his ability but the way he has slotted into the team, and the way he effects the team spirit etc, he's just the perfect fit for us.

We deserved this, cos we endured a miserable four or five years of ordinary, boring, defensive anti-football. I include Poch’s last 12 months in that too.

No wonder the CL quarter and semi’s were such a release, cos the whole of that season was extremely underwhelming.

Long live Ange's style of football, Vic’s keeping, Sonny’s smiles, VDV’s speed, Udoggie’s power….Im loving it!!

It's not often you say this about keepers because of the nature of what they do is so different, but he just exudes talent.

It seems to me that his reactions are sharp, which helps tremendously. Hope I am not tempting fate, and it is very early days, but not seen him conceed a goal yet where I felt he could / should have done better.

I was a tad worried after game 1 as he was a little shaky and we also just found out the gooners had bought Raya so there was a tiny tiny fear of have we made the wrong choice but that was only game 1 and since then he has been incredible, his performances and mentality have been phenomenal, save rate best in league, great with feet, very intelligent positioning and distribution just so so happy with him and he's really likeable also, fantastic signing and hope he gets more games for Italy soon.
