Yep, everyone makes stupid decisions but they're just not highlighted in way people in spot light are.

He'll be punished accordingly by the law and no doubt Poch probably did tell him he'd been a silly boy (which he knows) and it should be left at that.

Hopefully he'll be sent to a drink-driving awareness course and shown the danger of drink-driving and victims of it plus do some community service.

Firminho got a 1 year driving ban (min/compulsory) and a £20K fine when he was found guilty of DD early in 2017

Just my onions but I never really get on a high horse for drink driving. Even the most saintly people I know have done it once or twice. I do however think he should receive all punishment headed his way.

Why make the post if you aren’t defending him ? That’s exactly what you’re trying to do. His reading was 80 the limit is 35. That’s about 4 glasses of wine or pints. Pretty obvious that he knew he was over the limit. Not like he’d just had a cheeky drink.

Why make the post if you aren’t defending him ? That’s exactly what you’re trying to do. His reading was 80 the limit is 35. That’s about 4 glasses of wine or pints. Pretty obvious that he knew he was over the limit. Not like he’d just had a cheeky drink.

Think he is just pointing how easy it is, completely different from condoning his actions.

It’s not “getting on a high horse” - what a stupid thing to say. It’s being annoyed at some selfish prick endangering the lives of others by drink driving, and endangering his own life when he’s got a young daughter.

But as @ClintEastwould said, most people have done it themselves so it IS getting on your high horse to scream outrage at something you've done yourself. Hypocritical.
I'm not going to claim I've never done it. I've never driven while blind drunk but when I was younger I've driven after having 1 too many and the morning after the night before.
It was wrong and stupid and I wouldnt do it now but you must be either T total or holier than thou if you're seriously saying you've never driven when theres a good chance you were over the limit. Or maybe you dont drive much.
It ruins lives. I'd have lost my job if caught. But sometimes humans make piss poor decisions unfortunately.
What I will say is for someone in his position with his wealth its worse than an everyday Joe doing it who cant afford to have a chauffeur driven stretch driving them everywhere 24/7.
Theres no excuse for it and the repercussions can be horrific.
Maybe a zero drink drive limit would be the solution or at least half it.
This 'well I'm ok to have 1... maybe 2' culture doesn't help.

I suspect you're either full of it or hardly drive and are a light drinker or tea total if you can honestly say you've never driven the day after a skinful.
Anyway, nobody is saying Lloris was anything other than wrong and it was stupid and drink driving should never happen.

But people do drive after a tipple, not 'sauced up'. I know you dont but a huge mahoosive percentage of the population, rightly or wrongly, do.
The reason they do is because the limit is a couple of units and a grey area. Its a 'I'll "probably" be alright' culture.

1 strong beer on an empty stomach, if you're not particularly big then youre probably over the limit.

If the media is accurate and he had an 80μg the normal punishment for that would be around a fine of 1.5 times his weekly wage and a 20-month driving ban, but the court could sentence him to community service if they look unkindly on the particular case.

You seem to be in a bit of a bubble/ echo chamber. Maybe your culture is one of ‘it’ll probably be alright’, but mine certainly isn’t, nor anyone I tend to socialise with. If any of my mates had even a single drink and thought about driving they’d get told to fuck off.
