Yeah im sure they are in position to judge other peoples morals. I do wonder more about how their wives feel about these moves to Saudi. Maybe the wealth cloud their views of it all.

Somehow, I don't think they'll be self-assessing their position to judge other people's morals. And I doubt most wives care when their husbands are securing their families' financial futures for the next generation and beyond.

Hugo has been a loyal servant, and he is deserving of respect, but as far as I'm concerned Kane has made a far greater contribution to our cause. I doubt he would be leaving if the club had followed Mou's suggestion of surrounding him with better players. Kane has been a model professional in relation to his continued improvement and his incredible goals tally. Hugo on the other hand has been here for years and he still cant kick a ball properly.

Look back at practically any of our games and watch our opponent push everyone into our half the moment Hugo has the ball at his feet. They can run that risk because 9 out of 10 relatively short clearances either go out of play or to an opponent, therefore he plays it short and we get trapped around our own box. If he picked it up and kicked long he would at least take pressure away from goal. While he is a good shot stopper, who has had some great games, he has remained very vulnerable at his near post. Kane, on the other hand has improved every facet of his game. Hugo has not.

If harry leaves he is going to a great club, its not their fault the rest of their league is not up to scratch; lets not forget their 6 CL triumphs.

Got to believe Hugo will play a part today surely, even a cameo give us a chance to say goodbye especially after he missed the end of last season.

I havent seen him in a single training video since the tour started or them being back at the training ground. It looks like he isnt part of the squad so I cant see him playing. Maybe a walk around the pitch at half time or something?

Yeah I'd think so.

This game isn't for saying goodbyes for people ffs, it's vital for our preparation going into the new season.

Don't know what planet people are living on.

You're right he hasn't been yet he's not gone anywhere and we've heard nothing serious about him going anywhere so maybe he's been hanging on for this. Or maybe he's still carrying an injury I suppose. It's not like Postecoglu has needed to assess him we all know he's not staying to play.

If he hasnt joined a new club before the transfer window ends then I wouldnt be surprised if it is announced that we have released him and he has retired.

I doubt he’ll retire. He was interviewed recently saying he has motivation for a new challenge. He is only 36, which isn’t too old for GK, I reckon he has a good 2-3 seasons left in him.

Cant believe he hasnt left yet. Like Harry or anyone else leaving I wouldnt have him involved today. We have 2 games to get the players that do want to be here match fit. We are a professional football club so sentiment shouldnt play any part. They decided they want to go so why should we get them fit for someone elses benefit. Had great moments with them and thank them for that but not as if they are retiring so no big send off for me anyway.

My complete guess is that with 3-4 teams apparently interested we probably would like a small fee (rightly so Imo). End of window ticks around with no one he wants offering it and we’ll let him go for free.

The two are not mutually exclusive. If you think five or ten minutes at the end of the game is going to impact on the fitness levels of our new goalkeeper I would respectfully disagree with you.

I agree with what you’re saying - but giving them 10mins at the end to say goodbye wouldn’t be a bad thing. Remember everyone is human as much as professional and ‘rising above’ situations is sometimes just as important 👍

Love Hugo. But its really time his agent gets to work and finds him a club. Its been out in the open for months that he will not be spurs no 1 anymore. It would be good for him (to get started at a new club) and for the club (getting his wages of the bill) to get his move done.

It would be awkward if hes still here next weekend when PL starts.

I liked what Shakhtar did for their keeper today. It was a nice touch.
Although I'm glad Hugo doesn't look that old in his final days here.

It's not just the keeper, is it....

It's how they play as a unit and the new keeper is building understanding with the back 4...

For five or ten minutes at the end of the game I don't think it would have a major effect if any effect at all.
A moot point though as he didn't play anyway.

I was watching with no sound on, and genuinely wondered whether they'd given the Ukrainian ambassador a game or something weird like that.

Turns out Pyatov is younger than me...
