I'm sure I read that Leicester need to sell player(s) before the 30th due to FFP, which means, if true, they'll be getting desperate

Yeah I wasn’t sure if that was part of the urgency on this one. I know the chavs had to sell players before that date but I’m not certain Leicester did.

Excited about his potential arrival. Plays the game at all angles, in his prime, productive and home grown. I think question marks about attitude are outdated, thought he was one of the few Leicester players who fronted up last season and Southgate wouldn’t have integrated him into the England squad if those were still concerns. We’d be getting a top player at the peak of their powers who will also give us a totally new dimension.

one of the top 10 if not 5 players in the league for the last 4 years in terms of actually making things happen on a football pitch. I am convinced he's englands most under-rated player and will go up a level playing with Kane and Son to provide to.

Definitely a welcome return but '2' still get outnumbered in midfield though (similar to 343), as we saw many times under Poch and Mourinho...

I disagree with others as I think it will be a 433 with Maddison as one of the 8's but I don't agree with you about the 4231 posing the same problem as the 343. As long as you have the right CAM who knows when to drop in then you still end up with 3 in midfield, you just end up having a double pivot with a single CAM, rather than a single pivot with 2 x 8s. The problem we had in our later days with Poch was Dele played basically as a striker and we didn't have the defensive strength or ball retention qualities in the double pivot anymore.

Sweeten? I jest...

Would probably be separate deals if the stuff about Leicester trying to get money for FFP reasons by the 30th is true.
Yeah separate deals in the same way hojbjerg and Walker-Peters were separate. Or maybe included to lower the sell on to Norwich. Either way John Percy is the leading journo for Midlands news so probably worth the winks thread being brought over

Might be unpopular with some here but Winks would absolutely boss the Championship.
He needs to find his confidence again and also the right level. I think he would do well in the championship and the manager might be a good attraction for him to make that step.

I wish nothing but good things to winks that injury really knocked him back.

Can we not turn this into a Winks thread. Collective blow and tickles for him can go elsewhere.

On Maddison it feels like he would add creativity and another free kick option. Be interested to see how we accommodate him, Kane and 2 marauding fullbacks (Udogie and Porro)

Christ getting Maddison in and Winks out would be the deal of the summer.

Winks would actually be an astute signing for Leicester, he'll do very well in the Championship.

Maybe throw in winks to sweeten the deal?
Would be surprised if Winks agrees to a team in the Championship even if it is Leicester and the likelihood of them coming straight back up is high. Ether way im sure the two deals will be separate even if we agree not to dig our heels in on a the Winks fee.
