Personally think its not even really up to us (in the way we deal).

We will get this done unless Newcastle, Chelsea or United feel they suddenly want that deal, than they will spend more on him than we are prepared too.
Yep, I think this is there for us if we want it, it just depends on how much we want it.
I'm not sure Chelsea or United really need him and he's apparently already decided he'd prefer us to Newcastle, so he does seem like he's ours to lose.

I think the idea of forming a relationship with Kane is a big plus for us.

Madisson contributed 20+ goals/assist combination for Leicester consistently in PL
He solves our set piece & free kick issue.

Last season, we scored 70 goals in PL - this with Richarlison having a bad season and Kulu/Son having avg season by their standards. This 70 goals was our best in PL since 2017/18. We had outscored Newcastle. Also outscored 3rd placed United by 12 goals.

To this, if we now add Madisson thats a game changer signing.

Then its all about shutting the back door, where Ange has his work cut out. But getting Maddison in and keeping Son & Kane for this season basically gives him a huge lifeline to survive his first PL season.
WOW, kind of shows our defence was a tad suspect last season.

Defense wins championships and trophies.

Given our already good attacking output - I'd rather spend the money building up the defense, and DM positions.

I agree - feel like he's ours IF there aren't any late super bids.

You never know in football but you'd think Chelsea or United would've declared an interest earlier though. Chelsea's model seems to be gambling on younger talents and they already have a ton of attackers so not sure about them, while United seem to want someone who can play a little deeper.

Get the feeling he genuinely doesn't want to move that far north, hence the Newcastle links have gone v.quiet. Either that or they're unwilling to go above a set price-point for him.

I believe Kulusevski has the ability to do that for us if we moved him centrally.
So then we need someone to cover the role Kulusevski is covering now, one way or the other we'll need someone so I am in the get Madison camp.

Would be a pretty odd if Maddison joined and Kane left.
Would be like Lineker in and Waddle out all over again, that killed me. Imagine Gazza, Widdley and Lineker all in the same club team, they did it for England but we never got to see them together at the Lane.

rewind exactly 10 years... it would be weird if Eriksen joined and Bale left. It looks like us or the championship for Maddison I doubt Kane has anything to do with it as much as we won't be selling Kane for 60m I don't see Levy risking losing a 80m+ asset for nothing. Keep him and get champs league and you recoup some of that loss but keep him and don't and we are in a big hole then.

I'd rather we spent less and got a younger player in with potential to rotate that position, moved Kulu central and then spent big on 2 new defenders personally.
