We signed Deki. We tried to get Zaniolo. So I don't think that's completely accurate.

Quite a few said there are add ons. The sell on part was just an assumption. Prob should have used a comma there.

I think the opposite. I think signing Maddison makes it more likely Kane will leave.

First, it's long been said that replacing Kane will take two players - a 9 and a 10. (Richarlison and Maddison).

Second, it's about money - affording Maddison means we need to make some money on player sales, and that has not happened recently.

This seems a lot like the summer we sold Bale - deny, deny, deny, then agree after we get our acquisitions done.

Why do you think we can’t afford Maddison without selling players? Given our income streams that makes no sense at all. According to the last published accounts we earned more than Arsenal and not far behind Chelsea. I would expect in the next published accounts to have surpassed Chelsea and not be that far behind Liverpool. This continuing narrative that we have no money to spend is boring. If we don’t spend money it’s because we choose not to and not because we haven’t got any.

credit where it is due. I have been hating on Levy big time this summer, but man oh man he is moving quick this window. Can't tell if it's because we actually have decided targets for once or if he is feeling the heat or this is Kane money but looking like Lenglet + another CB aren't that far away either. Could we actually have a majority of our purchases done before our first preseason match and just leaving the rest of summer for sales/any Levy end of window specials?
