Will he be captain though or will Romero keep the armband. I guess the latter but having 2 of the leaders back is going to be key.

I'll miss them, cannot believe he hasn't started. Watched his press conference yesterday and it smacked of him starting tonight. Genuinely can't believe he hasn't gone with him from the start.

Perhaps the thinking is that we need a boost off the bench with others out.

If Maddison started and we were drawing or losing and Maddison tired around 60mins, then we kinda have a big dip.

May be better to have him on the bench to unleash

Im sure we’ll see him soon after halftime, particularly if a goal is needed.

Also, RIP H88’s cojones

Wasn’t in the game at all unfortunately. Probably needs another week to ten days if we are all being honest.
It was a tough game for him to return for. City are a different animal.

Hopefully he should find more joy in easier games to come. Maybe 30 mins against Brentford and 60-70 mins against Everton.

You can’t play that midfield against city ….
I'm sure you know best. Skipp and Hojbjerg are not mobile enough generally, so I'm glad Hojbjerg did ok. But the reality is that both Skipp and Hojbjerg make terrible errors and gift the ball to the oppo in dangerous positions. I would have gone with those three.

We barely had the ball when he came on. Hard to tell much from that game today. City were really on it.
